The West Virginia Railroad Museum puts on one to two major exhibits each year interpreting aspects of West Virginia’s railroading history. In March 2015, the museum opened for the season with an exhibit on the Virginian Railway. The museum is open Thursday Sunday from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. We are closed from November to mid-April. West Virginia Railroad Museum. Preserving West Virginia's railroad history. B&O Bay Window I-18 Caboose. B&O #C-3014 is an all-steel caboose weighing 67,300 lbs. Built by International Car Corporation in 1966, it was one of 46 in the order that was the first bay-window cabooses to be purchased from a caboose builder. Until that time, all bay-window cabooses were built in the B&O shops. A gift from B&O Museum on 11/7/03, #C-3014 is currently leased and in service on the WVC. Western Maryland Coach #835.
