Lords, Ladies, Knights and Knaves. The Story of Mister Knightly, Mister Madrigal and the Fantastic Mister Fox. Noli vinci a Malo / Sed vince in bono Malum. 02:28 pm January 1st, 2011. To all of you, my friends and enemies on the internet. My resolution this year is simple: continue from last year. What I mean by this is simply stop holding back, stop half assing life, and be more. And live this life the way I know I can. Because after all, I'm almost there. An officer and a gentleman. You make loving fun.

Greek Ethics Pt.2: Timé, Kléos, Aidos and Xenia: elaion
http://elaion.livejournal.com/3187.html
Greek Ethics Pt.2: Timé, Kléos, Aidos and Xenia. In addition to the Four (or Five) Cardinal Virtues, Greek ethics also held other values. The main ones were Eusebia, Kléos, Timé, and Xenia. One that has already been mentioned is that of Moderation, or keeping to the Mean or the Middle Path. This is, not in itself unique to Hellenismos. One of the Confucian Classics is the Great Mean. Another value of great importance was the related values of Timé, Kléos (Honor and Fame) and Aidos (Shame). The film, Troy.

Thought for the Day: elaion
http://elaion.livejournal.com/969.html
Thought for the Day. Elaion types often encounter ethnic Greeks who argue that Greek religion should be for Greeks. Or at least that ethnic Greek pagans are somehow purer and closer to the source than non-Ethnic Greek pagans, despite the prevalance of Orphic and other fringe cult practices in many ethnic Greek pagan groups. I thought this quote nicely summarizes my opinion on the whole ethnic issue:. Post a new comment. Anonymous comments are disabled in this journal. We will log you in after post.

For any still interested in Elaion. Elaion: http:/ www.elaion.org/. Elaion's public discussion list: http:/ groups.yahoo.com/group/Hellenic. The message behind the cut was recently posted (by me) on Elaion's public discussion list, 'Hellenic Recons'. As hopefully most of you know, this is the public discussion list hosted by Elaion, one among several Dodekatheist/Hellenic organizations. This is just one of several issues being discussed. X-posted, but not across the entire planet). Post a new comment.

Still waiting for more people to show up here, but I just wanted to…: elaion

Still waiting for more people to show up here, but I just wanted to open by saying welcome, and also to share a couple of my favorite online sources! If any of you have not explored Theoi.com. You'll see a long list of quotations about Hera from primary sources (usually Greek and Roman), along with some artwork at the bottom from vase paintings, etc. There is often also a link to the "cult of" various Gods (e.g. this one on Hera. This is a great source for helping us with rituals! If you go to Classics.
