The following is a summary of our vacation to Maui. It was a spectacular vacation that we wanted to share with you and figured the internet would be an easy way to do so. Our trip consisted of 2 weeks on the island of Maui. The first week was spent in a cabin in Hana on the east side, just feet from the shore at the edge of a rainforest. The second week was spent in west Maui at a resort just feet from the poolside bar. Both locations were fun and are recommended.

Sunday, January 13, 2008. Our first glimpse of the Maui Coast. We arrived in Maui December 30th after a 7 1/2 hour direct flight (thank you United). Thanks to all of Chris's points/ miles/ etc. from work travel- we sat in the "economy plus" (extra 5" of leg room, 5"! Katie's first $15 drink of the vacation. Sunday, January 13, 2008. Ahhh, the road to Hana. Long and windy. Green and blue. Waterfalls and calm beaches. And probably caused the most near death experiences of our trip. Thursday, January 17, 2008. Wai'anapanapa State Park Trail. I will mostly let the pictures and the videos do the talking. Katie is surprised by the waves. Yet another tripod picture, this one along the coastline. Wow it's actually sunny out. Chris was very excited about finding this coconut.and then he got drenched.
