calm down: Kindergarten for Emily!
http://alwaysmary.blogspot.com/2013/08/kindergarten-for-emily.html
Even though she's gone to preschool the last three years, it still feels like a big deal to send Emily off on the bus for her first day of Kindergarten! She's been very nervous about the bus, actually. Someone said something about "catching the bus" a while back, and ever since, she's been uncertain about how to "catch it." I've tried to explain that it will stop for her, but even last night, she was still very anxious about how it all works. Caleb is NOT excited about sending her off to school.

calm down: Halloweeen 2010
http://alwaysmary.blogspot.com/2010/11/halloweeen-2010.html
This was a much happier Halloween than last year to be sure. Emily was finally. Feeling healthy again (for the most part) and was actually quite excited to dress up as a zookeeper. She originally wanted to be a flower, a dog, or Curious George, but none of those costumes were available in her size. This zookeeper costume came with a little monkey for her to wear, and we found a monkey costume for Bix too. Bix's monkey hood didn't stay on very well; this is the only picture we could get with it on. Box in...

calm down: Scottish Fest
http://alwaysmary.blogspot.com/2013/09/scottish-fest.html
Granny and Papa came to town for the big Scottish Fest in Estes Park, and we joined them up there for the fun on Friday and Saturday. We didn't get too many pictures, but here are the few we have:. Definitely no shortage of bagpipes! Caleb is always quick to make new friends. Excited for the parade to begin. Emily is our playground girl! When the kids are a little older, it would be fun to go back and stay for more than just the parade! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Bowl Full of Lemons.

calm down: First Halloween
http://alwaysmary.blogspot.com/2008/10/first-halloween.html
Much cuter photos to post tonight! See, Emily was a little cow for Halloween this year. We were both pretty sure that the head-piece wouldn't stay on for long, but much to our surprise, she never really noticed it was there and walked around happily all night with the whole costume on. Bix wasn't really involved in the festivities this year, but we did get this quick picture of the two of them. Am I'milking' this one for all it's worth? Seriously, I'm done now. VERY cute pics. :). Team Pug: September 2011
http://teampug.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Eight short days after our physicals, we had our first appointment with Dr. K. It pains me to say this but Dr. K is affiliated with The University of kansas Medical Center and as an avid MU Tiger, putting my baby hopes in the hands of a jayhawk is NOT my idea of a good time. I guess this is one of those times where you swallow your pride and get over it. JPug and I arrived at the office just before 8:30am on August 11. Labels: The I Word. Sunday, September 25, 2011. Adoption | Hand in Hand
https://jmhandinhand.wordpress.com/adoption
The husband and I started our adoption journey. Man-oh-man has it been a crazy ride! We are adopting from Ethiopia through Children’s Hope International. We started off requesting young siblings. We learned about the process. We spent months gathering paperwork. And even taking a baby class. At a local hospital. After getting all the papers notarized and state certified. Our paperwork was complete. And on Valentine’s Day 2011 we were officially on The Wait List. A Change of Heart- Waiting Children. To ra...
