Comeback in the 2nd Quarter Century. A blog about my return to racing along with training and related maters. Wednesday, September 06, 2006. And the winner is. Course: Swim 400m (Boston Harbor), Bike 11 miles (Memorial drive) Run 5k. Yep, the race was canceled due to rain and wind. I was kinda bummed, but, then again, the weather was shitty, and the race wouldn't have been that fun. There is no rain date and no refund, so I dropped $45 on a T-shirt. Its a nice T-shirt, but not that nice. And the winner is.

Race: 6 hour solo. Location: Henniker, NH. Race loop: 5 (4.25) miles, 850 (950) feet of vertical/lap (GPS). Results: www.patspeak.com. When I hit it, I got thrown into my handlebars, but somehow barely managed to stay on my bike. My fellow racer and compatriot from the Jay Challenge, Dennis, was not so lucky.
