CVSC at Leave No Survivors. June 25, 2012. CVSC athletes had the opportunity to compete, volunteer and spectate at last weekend’s Leave No Survivors. A local Crossfit throw-down hosted by Crossfit IoTA. Athletes competed individually or as part of a 2 person (1 male 1 female) team in five WODs. I also wanted to be an example to my kids that if you set a goal through hard work, it is achievable. How did my performance go in the workouts and what did I take away from this experience? The reality for me of CrossFit is that my glucose level is always perfect, I do not take medications and even pass the glucose stress test. I have been able to keep diabetes at bay. My blood pressure which had soared to a one time high of 160/110 is now 116/69. Since January, by applying Paleo nutrition guidelines, I have dropped 1/5.
