Voyages of the S.S. Whalen: December 2013
http://sswhalen.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Voyages of the S.S. Whalen. Wednesday, December 25, 2013. We had a relaxing, enjoyable Christmas in Mexico this year. Delays in crossing the bridge can last several hours during the holidays, so we hunkered down on this side of the border for most of the month. Shauna decorated cookies and the inside of the house, Sean strung the Christmas lights outside, and Asher terrorized the nativity sets. All in all, a successful Christmas season. Asher's gingerbread men - no, he did not do the piping. This year, w...

http://sswhalen.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Voyages of the S.S. Whalen. Sunday, August 25, 2013. After home leave, we were off to training in Virginia for the month of May. While there, we had to go out and explore some of the things in the DC area that we hadn't had time for yet. We got out a lot, saw a lot, and just had a lot of fun. Here are a few of the places we went to. He doesn't even realize he's about to be eaten by a giant statue. Sean needs to teach him better ;). Asher just hanging around ;). The Claude Moore Colonial Farm at Turkey Run.

Voyages of the S.S. Whalen: May 2014

Voyages of the S.S. Whalen. Saturday, May 3, 2014. Easter in El Paso:. Asher and his friend at the Church Easter celebration. They were big fans of the Peep cupcakes. The egg hunt - he's starting to get it, but he gets so distracted by what might be in each egg. While the other kids are amassing their eggs, he has to listen to and open each one before continuing. Prior to the Easter pictures, Asher had a literal "run in" with a wall, thus the goose egg. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Voyages of the S.S. Whalen: July 2015
http://sswhalen.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Voyages of the S.S. Whalen. Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Preschool in Ciudad Juarez. Asher and his friend in their school uniforms :). One of the frustrations for parents/fun experiences for kids, was that once a month they had a performance for the parents. The frustration for parents? The around the world dance performance - Italy. Asher shaking it with his tambourine - moving to his own beat, as always :). What in the world does a Mexican barber dress like? Well - This was what we came up with :). And this...

Voyages of the S.S. Whalen. Friday, May 24, 2013. This year for Christmas, we stayed in Albania, and celebrated with just our little family. It was a pretty relaxing day. We were excited to celebrate with Asher this year since he is old enough to understand a little better what the holiday is about. Rockin' it "Hugh" style ;). Ok - so I have a lot of these pictures, but you know what? It is a rare occasion that Asher actually smiles for pictures, so if I have them, I'm going to post them! While he enjoye...

Justin & Katie: How would you like your eggs? Spermbled please.
http://soundslikegoff.blogspot.com/2009/08/how-would-you-like-your-eggs-spermbled.html
How would you like your eggs? Most of you are probably wondering where the heck we've been. Well, to be completely honest with you we've been mostly at the doctor. What would we be doing at the doctor you ask? We've been learning all about sperm, eggs, ovaries, follicles, tubes, and the reproductive system in general. A lot of you are probably thinking to yourselves "Wow. Isn't there something else they can do besides IVF*? If all goes as planned, the embryos (or spermbled eggs) will be placed in Kate's ...
