08/26/09 Last day in Italy… | The Opposite Side of the Sea
https://caitlinpalamara.wordpress.com/2009/08/26/082609-last-day-in-italy…
The Opposite Side of the Sea. 08/26/09 Last day in Italy. August 26, 2009, 10:07 pm. The very last day we spend in Italy. The last two days were a little exhausting, to say the least. The largest train station I’ve ever seen hands down. More stores and people than New York Penn. Totally crazy in there! We made our way to the Metro, hopped on Linea A and went to Garbatella, where the Hotel Derby is. After that was about where we kept getting lost. Getting lost means new opportunities, though, and desp...
08/24/09 Cinque Terre day 2 | The Opposite Side of the Sea

The Opposite Side of the Sea. 08/24/09 Cinque Terre day 2. August 24, 2009, 10:05 am. Filed under: Cinque Terre. Today was not quite as exciting as yesterday, but amazing nonetheless. We started again on the 10:02 train (which was delayed, again, by 20 minutes) and made our way to Riomaggiare. Skipping the town (it’s really small and hard to figure out) we went directly to the Via d’ell Amore, to put up a padlock! Our padlock, how cute. Then we headed to Manarola, where we went to the beach!
08/20/09 Santa Maria Della Scale | The Opposite Side of the Sea

The Opposite Side of the Sea. 08/20/09 Santa Maria Della Scale. August 20, 2009, 3:19 pm. I really liked this painting hanging in the gallery. I think in Rome we’re going to try and find the church decorated (covered) in human bones. That was related, since they’ve both got heads except one is preserved. Weird. Group project is going alright, albeit slow. Can’t say much for what the project is turning out to be, since everyone is very intent on presenting. Cinque Terre is going to be a little expensive, ...

08/23/09 Cinque Terre day 1 | The Opposite Side of the Sea
https://caitlinpalamara.wordpress.com/2009/08/23/082309-cinque-terre-day-1
The Opposite Side of the Sea. 08/23/09 Cinque Terre day 1. August 23, 2009, 12:05 am. Filed under: Cinque Terre. It was probably hands down the most relaxing day I’ve had on this whole trip can’t wait for tomorrow! Small world (well, a few of us had planned on coming to Cinque Terre anyway, so we figured we’d bump into someone.) After dinner, we bumped into Zach and Andres, who had just arrived from somewhere, and were wandering around. Of course all the gelato places closed early, so it looks li...Oh It...

July | 2009 | Alex's REDBOOK Guide
https://ajc45.wordpress.com/2009/07
Alex's REDBOOK Guide. Archive for July, 2009. Yesterday was pretty simple. We met at IED in the morning and stayed until they prematurely kicked us out. We all went back to the hotel and after I grabbed a slice of pizza while most went to sit down dinner, I played solitaire. I did this because I was waiting for all of my group members to meet. We finally met around 11 and worked til 3 am. Blog at WordPress.com. Alex's REDBOOK Guide. Create a free website or blog at WordPress.com.

After arriving at the Derby, we went exploring. We found the Tempietto, and saw Castle Sant Angelo. We stopped at the Pantheon one last time, and I finally spent some time inside. Alex's REDBOOK Guide. Blog about 8/24 posted on 8/25. Yesterday was a slow day. I woke up early because they started construction again. The day consisted of grocery shopping, souvenir shopping, and watching Live Free or Die Hard with some people. At night I went to the Campo, and finished my last two cigars. Responses to “Souvenirs”. Here I Go
Wednesday, June 3, 2009. Gata is one of the first Romanian words that I learned. It is also one of my favorite. It means finished or done. Gata is what one of the little girls here will tell me when she is dizzy from me spinning her around and she wants me to stop. But gata is also what I would say to her as I grab her hands when she comes running back wanting me to spin her around again."Gata? In just a few days I will be flying back to America. Friday, May 22, 2009. So much to do! I can't believe it.
