Pure Enjoyment!: Little Princess is 3!
http://pureenjoyment.blogspot.com/2008/10/little-princess-is-3.html
My baking and knitting journey. Little Princess is 3! My little Princess turned 3 today. How time flies! Soon she will no longer be a cute little devil, it's a little sad to think of it. I made her a Hansel and Gretel Candy House cake this year, to bring to school for celebration. This has been on my plan since beginning of the year when Gina told me about it. As usual, I won't consider this a full score cake, though I think it's better than my earlier Pirate Ship. Of course the little kids in school cou...

Pure Enjoyment!: Apple Custard Buns
http://pureenjoyment.blogspot.com/2008/04/apple-custard-buns.html
My baking and knitting journey. Made these Apple Custard Buns yesterday. This was the second recipe (well, actually two recipes as I've combined them) I had followed from the Bun Lovers borrowed from the library. I realised the doughs in this book are all super wet and sticky! Not suitable for hand kneading at all! Maybe a Kitchen Aid (my dream machine) will do the job better. Remember the Nugget Salad Buns. That dough was wet, but this was even worst! I felt as if I was kneading cake batter! If you're i...

Pure Enjoyment!: Older and wiser?
http://pureenjoyment.blogspot.com/2009/01/older-and-wiser.html
My baking and knitting journey. I'm behind my blogging again. What's new, right? This is the second cake I've done this year in my new kitchen (the first out didn't turn out well). Having a new functional kitchen can really perk things up. Before this, I was always complaining to hubby of the lack of space to work. Now I can bake a cake from start till end all in the kitchen. This cake wasn't too difficult to bake and assemble. It was a vanilla sponge with layers of yam fillings. The cake turn ou...The p...

Pure Enjoyment!: Lost my way
http://pureenjoyment.blogspot.com/2011/02/lost-my-way.html
My baking and knitting journey. I seem to have lost my way in the world of blogging. I'm still baking, just not blogging. Have been so busy with day-to-day chores since school term starts this year that I hardly had any mood to blog. I was reminded of my dear blog when one of my friends told me she had tried out some recipe from the blog and love it. As usual, the decoration took me almost 14 hours to complete. Only managed to sleep for an hour as I needed to wake the kids up for school. Although...This ...

Pure Enjoyment!: Flower Power
http://pureenjoyment.blogspot.com/2010/02/flower-power.html
My baking and knitting journey. My little girl turned 6 this year. How time flies! I still remember making her a Barbie doll cake. Last year to celebrate her birthday. This year we had a little party at home before she enters formal schooling next year. She'll probably be too busy to have parties next time. She invited just a few close friends over. And guess what? She requested for a Barbie doll cake again. Girls are girls, they never seem to get tired of Barbie and princesses, do they? One of my guests...

Pure Enjoyment!: It's one year again!
http://pureenjoyment.blogspot.com/2010/09/its-one-year-again.html
My baking and knitting journey. It's one year again! Time flies. DS turns 11 a few days ago. I planned a small surprise party for him this year as next year he'll probably be having his PSLE during his birthday. He is obsessed with the Animal Kaiser cards and game recently. His company of friends are all playing the game. For his birthday, he has requested to play the game in the arcade with his friends. We seldom bring him to the arcade, so he was thrilled when he got his wish this year. October 2, 2010...
