An eccletic blog on things happening in my life. Topics change constantly. Wednesday, November 23, 2011. It's time for my semi-annual post to the blog about things and such. I took a new job in September, and proceeded to spend the next 2 months away from the family trying to get things settled. Posted by Brian Lube. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. An eccletic blog on things happening in my life. Topics change constantly. Friday, March 29, 2013. Lent Day 43 (Friday). Exercise: Cycling 25 miles. Since I missed the ride yesterday, I really felt I needed to get out and ride today, just to keep limber before the big ride tomorrow morning. I didn't do anything crazy, although I was sorely tempted to do Paris Mountain this evening. I'll have my fill of climbing by dinnertime tomorrow, I'm sure. New International Version (NIV). The Death of Jesus. The par...

An eccletic blog on things happening in my life. Topics change constantly. Monday, January 30, 2012. 1/30 - Over the Mountain! Today was a major step for me, and honestly I still cannot believe that I did it. For the first time, I made it to the top of Paris Mountain on my bike. I maybe be in 118th place on the Strava Leaderboards, but I'm still ahead of the millions of folks that haven't gotten off the couch yet. Http:/ app.strava.com/rides/3751797#. Even climb a mountain on a bike. Praise God! Went to ...

An eccletic blog on things happening in my life. Topics change constantly. Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Lent Day 40 (Tuesday). Cycling 26 miles. It was cold out (my feet are still cold now! But it felt good to be out there. New International Version (NIV). I had joined up with a mass of cyclists where I didn't know where they were going. I wasn't prepared to be a part of their "hive mind", and they decided to go off the established route at a point where I was not prepared to act. Posted by Brian Lube. Lent ...

Moments of Clarity: April 2011
http://dlsith.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
An eccletic blog on things happening in my life. Topics change constantly. Monday, April 11, 2011. Day 7 (of 90). So today completes the first week since I started the new workout routing, following the BeachBody "Power90" system. So far I've completed 3 of the "sculpt" workouts, and 2 of the "sweat" workouts. I'm only working out 5 days a week, instead of the 6 that the program calls for, in order to allow for a more normal-ish weekend and work in other activities with the family. Posted by Brian Lube.

I invite you to check it out! Posted by Brian Lube.

Moments of Clarity: November 2012
http://dlsith.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
An eccletic blog on things happening in my life. Topics change constantly. Sunday, November 11, 2012. What are you aiming for? I receive emails from Chris Carmichael this week, and it struck a very major chord with me. It's something I had already experienced, and after getting through it and looking back, it's such a major reason why so many people "quit" or in my case took too long to try. Once my focus changed from weight. It's 100 miles of riding and 10,000 feet of climbing. Posted by Brian Lube.

An eccletic blog on things happening in my life. Topics change constantly. Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Lent Day 39 (Monday). None (weather). I could have probably gotten out for a basic ride yesterday, but I just didn't have it in me to push for it. When the wind is over 20mph, seldom will I jump up and down to go out and ride. Moments of Clarity: Lent Day 42 (Thursday)

An eccletic blog on things happening in my life. Topics change constantly. Friday, March 29, 2013. Lent Day 42 (Thursday). Rest I actually changed out to go riding, but my wife reminded me that it was spirit night at a local bbq joint, and that I had commited to taking the kids out for dinner. While skipping a ride, especially one I could use before a big ride training ride Saturday, is not high on my list I'd rather skip it than force the kids to wait until after an evening ride to eat. Attempt to fly b...
