Halifax Birds and Wildlife. Saturday, 31 January 2015. Birds seen at Cromwell Bottom NR today were-:. Lots of Great, Blue, Coal Tits,. Flock of Geese but too high to tell what sort. All seen from the Birdwatch area. 4 Moorhen and 3 Little Grebe up by the weir and two little grebe by the bottom. 1 Wren and 8 Tufted Duck on the bottom Lake. Monday, 26 January 2015. Halifax Birds and Wildlife. Friday, 10 October 2014. Had a morning out to Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve and to Swalesmoor this afternoon it was a bit quiet at both area's and very windy and cold up Swalesmoor. Great, Blue and Coal Tits. And a Dipper up by the weir spotted by Graham Haigh he's got better eyes than me. Woodpecker seen on Wednesday. A few Linnet and Twite. Lots of Crows, Jackdaws and Magpies, should call it crow city. Halifax Birds and Wildlife. Sunday, 9 August 2015. Went up to Fly Flatts for a look early this morning with dark. Skies and mist rolling in and very windy, was gonna give it up as a bad job. Until I seen 4 Kestrel rolling about in the sky so I stayed and the weather. Improved, then bumped in to Brian Sumner and had a natter and a laugh,. He taught me which way was north haha. Lots of Wheatear on the rocks and down the hillside as I walked down. Goldfinch and also a couple of unknown juv birds, Linnet?

Halifax Birds and Wildlife. Sunday, 2 August 2015. Fly Flatts and Soil (soul destroying) Hill. Had a trip up to Fly Flatts yesterday evening and this afternoon. After hearing of Short Eared Owls being spotted, but no sign of them. For me in fact not much sign of anything. 1 Kestrel both days. 1 Buzzard both days. 1 Juvenile Wheatear today. Lots of Canada's both days. Little Owl and Swallows at Withens. I then headed up to Soil Hill but it was soul destroying. 1 female Pheasant that I nearly stood on.
