La vita è bella. Sunday, August 28, 2011. We spent three weekends in this fascinating country and enjoyed each one. The country is 98% Muslim and Konya is the most conservative town. Turkey felt like it was torn between maintaining tradition while pursuing western culture. In the modern mall across the street from our 5-star hotel, Muslim women in head coverings watched music videos in the food court showing Turkish pop-stars singing on a beach in bikinis. Enjoying the Punk Van cabin with "Sonic" Murnan.

Monday, April 23, 2012. 4 months have gone by.REALLY? Miss Reese had her 4 month checkup this morning, and is a rock star! Length: 26.5 inches (97%). Weight: 15 lbs. (75%). Head: 40 cm (50%). 3-6 month clothes.although at the moment she is wearing a 6-9 mo. sleeper! Loves to smile at her daddy. Was currently sleeping through the night.however, she's a smart girl and has decided that making mommy get up at night to pay attention to her is way more fun.this all ends tonight! Party post to follow!

Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Miss Reese is ONE month old (and 2 days)! She is approx. 9lbs 10oz. and 21 1/2 in. She gains about an ounce a day! Although I'm not sure how, seeing as she spits up what seems like everything she just ate, at almost every "meal". :/. She has a brand new cousin: Harleigh Katheryne, born yesterday Jan. 23, who weighs 9lbs 7oz and is 22 in! I guess the race is on! Wearing size 1 diapers. Still wears 0-3 mo. clothes! Slept in her cradle last night for the first time and did great!

Monday, June 3, 2013. Life Update #1: Reese. It's been a while :/. Oops! I suppose I need to update our lives on here. And really this is just for me and my documentation of us, considering that most of you readers are my facebook friends and already know that Reese turned 1 in.DECEMBER, Madden turned 3 last month, and we are expecting baby #3 in NOVEMBER! Those are the 3 most important things that have happened, and well lets face it, that I actually have pics of to show! Here's the months I missed.

Thursday, April 3, 2014. 160; Sometimes on my blog I like to advocate for things. Today I advocate for vacations. Yes, vacations. . Soon my family (Lord willing) will whisk away to the sand and sun surrounding the beautiful ocean that God created for us to enjoy. I can't wait. More than ever in our life we need a break so we are taking one. We can argue later over if that word should be need or want, but I am going with need. . When we tell people we are going to Florida their response is "what for?

Or perhaps its the fact that we are turning the corner on Sissy's first birthday and again we would celebrate 3 out of our 4 children's first birthdays 1,000 miles away from their grandparents. It sucks. So, all that to say life is good but hard sometimes. but certainly not as hard as those who went before us and those who are suffering around the world. Thanks for letting me keep it real. Saturday, October 12, 2013. I am glad we went to church. Fellowship is invaluable and hearing the Word is so necessary. My contractions subsided until the end of the service. They were certainly uncomfortable and made me grimace. After church one of my friends asked if I was having contractions. I was very embarrassed.
