View my complete profile. Friday, August 16, 2013. All I accomplished for the past two days is pumping water out of the hole. Here the pump is off to the left. The green hose is the intake hose and the blue one is the exhaust hose, which is connected to a PVC pipe that goes out to the street. The pump does a good job of pumping most. Of the water out of the hole quite quickly. But unfortunately it can never pump all. Thursday, August 8, 2013. A Hole Full of Water. Looks like I better keep digging. The bi...

Thursday, August 14, 2008. These are my wonderful, if quirky, roommates. From right to left we have Hannah, me, Dane, and Sarah. Now Hannah and Sarah have shorter hair and Dane and I have been growing ours' out. Re: "From right to left . ". I can't identify your roommates, but I'm pretty sure you are second from the left, not second from the right. August 14, 2008 at 6:11 PM. Indeed you are correct, it should be "left to right". August 15, 2008 at 8:22 AM. My right hand is raised). I'm not sure what you ...

View my complete profile. Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Adventures in Home Maintenance. Sherry doesn't like the knobs on her shower. She wanted handles, like the sink has, rather than these ugly round knobs. Seemed like a modest request. We found "universal" handles to her liking at Lowe's and took them home. This didn't seem like a particularly big deal, until I used the shower. As I tried to make the water a bit warmer, I made it completely cold. This can be a big deal when you are in the shower. Recal...

View my complete profile. Friday, March 16, 2012. Looking After Cian: Day 3. A Visit to MOSI. Today Cian and I visited MOSI, Tampa's Museum of Science and Industry, directly across Fowler Avenue from USF. I parked in a campus parking lot, for which I have a permit, and we took the bridge over Fowler Avenue to MOSI. I have driven under this bridge numerous times, but this was the first time I had ever walked over it. The obligatory dinosaur skeleton, in the lobby. Are we having fun yet? You can almost bel...

Critical Error!: Something is rotten in the state of Denmark!
http://criticalerror-evacuate.blogspot.com/2008/08/something-is-rotten-in-state-of-denmark.html
Thursday, August 14, 2008. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark! I have discovered that Europe is inefficient. Normally I would feel bad about making such a blanket statement but I am feeling particularly unforgiving considering the hell that Aalborg University has been putting me through. This is all part of what you learn in college! Preparation for real life. August 14, 2008 at 5:41 PM. Is it just me, or was that a snide comment? But since I'm commenting myself, wth is the current situation?

View my complete profile. Sunday, November 25, 2012. One of the more frustrating things about getting old is not being able to think of a name or word that you know you once knew. For example, Sherry and I had breakfast this morning at Mimi's Cafe. No, but something similar. The name just wouldn't come. As soon as I sat down at the computer, I thought of the name: Bob Evans.
