Becoming the Browns: December 2011
http://scbrowns.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 20, 2011. For home-cooked meals with a couple hundred extra calories per serving, perfecting my wrapping abilities, and enjoying holiday parties! And being a total slacker. I tend to feel this way during the busy Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, and this year is no exception. My New Year's cards (that's right, New Year's) arrived on my doorstep 10 minutes ago as I'm readying myself for braving the crowds in my last-minute shopping tradition. Whoops. Enter the most wonderful time of t...

Becoming the Browns: January 2012
http://scbrowns.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 2, 2012. Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was stirring.not even a mouse (whew! Thank goodness for that. Love, The Browns :). Joseph's mom (aka Pinky) knows the perils of hospital working, especially around the holidays. She worked 4 in a row over Christmas, so we enjoyed some Christmas cheer with her and our other favorite Sun City ladies (aka Grannie Jo and Aunt Bettye) a few days before. Presents from Pinky could be featured in Southern Living!

Becoming the Browns: October 2011
http://scbrowns.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Friday, October 21, 2011. For two people who were not raised in "military families," Joseph and I have become recently connected to the United States Navy. My involvement has been with the Naval Hospital in Beaufort as I began my clinical there in late August for PNP school. Don't look for me to don blue fatigues anytime soon though! I have always wanted to see them play, and apparently, so has everyone else in Beaufort. They did not disappoint! So excited for fall wear! Sunday, October 16, 2011. Stilesb...

Becoming the Browns: August 2011
http://scbrowns.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 23, 2011. We may have only been married a handful of months, but we've already tried our hand at parenthood. For an afternoon, that is. Joseph's twin sister, Meridith, and her 2 cuties came down from Tennessee for a week-long visit the second week in August. Joseph volunteered us to watch Harrison on day 2 while the girls took Bennett to see an afternoon movie. Practice makes perfect, right? Until he woke up. And wanted her to check out the fireplace with him. And sniff his hand. It also ...

Becoming the Browns: September 2011
http://scbrowns.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 26, 2011. Come and knock on our door.(ha you know the rest! The three of us have enjoyed lots of good company this past month as summer came to its yearly close. We weren't too excited for a visit from Hurricane Irene, but we battened down the hatches just the same. Thankfully, she spared us here in the lowcountry. Making her way for a little "visit". My girl, who is normally a big 'fraidy cat when it comes to storms, braved the breeze as mom took pictures. This one was Spencer's idea).

Wednesday, August 29, 2012. If blogging were an Olympic sport, I would totally not have medaled. Good thing it isn't. Insanity. If someone is your dad's first cousin's child, what does that make you? My simple answer is related. Edward ( relative. Congratulations Keller and Edward! And playing in the ocean. Sunday, January 20, 2013. The Pregnancy Diaries.First 20 Weeks! The Pregnancy Diaries. (Hardly similar to the Princess Diaries, but I wasn't creative enough to come up with a more inventive title.). Enjoying adult beverages. Correction. Baby and I enjoying adult beverages. Good thing the placenta doesn't take over for awhile. Picking up my first and LAST Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte pre-work. Eating everything in site. I knew I was hungrier than usual. And then there's me. Still oblivious. Every good an...

Monday, May 16, 2011. Our Wonderful Wedding Weekend. It's been just over two weeks since we said "I Do,"and we're finally making our first post as the Brown Family! As you can see, the wedding recap is also the "unveiling" of our new blog look and title. Like most girls, I'm all about a makeover, so this was a great excuse for a little facelift! We spread out, put favors together, and had a glass of wine in our home away from home on Thursday night. The front door to paradise. My room until Saturday!
