Caleb's Courage: July 2014
http://www.calebscourage.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 28, 2014. It was a quiet week without the boys! David and I are loving the sound of those little feet running all over the house again. However time flew for them, as they were having a blast at "family camp" with David's parents, sister, and niece. (Sister) Donna is a former Kindergarten teacher, so her skills and creativity are an incredible combination for children! Her daughter, Tara, took after her in the awesome "entertainment" category. :). Golfing with Tara and Westin, too! Even thou...
Caleb's Courage: Summer Blues
http://www.calebscourage.blogspot.com/2015/06/summer-blues.html
Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Rough day at the cancer center, Monday! It's such a relief that Zachary is out of school to help keep our spirits up! He is so strong and our rock when we're hurting. David (Daddy) hugs always make things better! Complications during Cal's spinal tap also meant a harder recovery. It took a day for him to get over his upset stomach after the ordeal, and finally - my eyes are no longer puffy from crying. Yes, that's him, upside down! Don't worry - he didn't let it stop him! Caleb'...

http://www.calebscourage.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Of July "exploded" in red, white, and blue! It was great to be out of the city limits at a family party, so we could enjoy our own fireworks this year. We enjoyed the huge family reunion at my Aunt Nancy's home in Bowie, Texas. Caleb feels so loved by all of these wonderful people, who’ve helped him get through the past few years of treatment, that it just empowered him. It was truly beautiful. Caleb’s appointment at Texas Children’s went really well yesterday. Caleb can't believe ...
Caleb's Courage: December 2014
http://www.calebscourage.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 22, 2014. I'll Be Home For Christmas! That's the first thing Caleb said Friday, when he was released from Texas Children's Hospital! We had a little scare with an unexpected illness, and Caleb and Zach had to miss their Christmas parties at school on Friday because of it. The timing was tough. they were both very sad to miss such a special occasion with their friends and cherished teachers. Caleb underwent a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) today. Then the Candlelighters Childhood C. Now tha...
Caleb's Courage: February 2015
http://www.calebscourage.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 22, 2015. Caleb spent the past week, quietly at home, because of doctor's orders. With flu in our area, his Oncologist wanted us to be pro-active and not take any chances. He's very well-rested now and more than ready to get back to school! Caleb had a positive check-up this week at Texas Children's Hospital! Luckily, his appointment was on President's Day, and his big bro had the holiday off from school. Caleb has now undergone seventeen months of treatment. Caleb recently enjoyed a fun...

Tuesday, June 2, 2015. Caleb boy you are 14 months old! You are such a joy and such a BOY! You give the best hugs, complete with a pat on the back. We call you The Hulk because you kind of grunt and flex all the time. You are NOT gentle! This is new. Somehow you are already able to climb up on the couches, tables and chairs- although you do not know how to get down safely. You had quite a few days of not feeling so good. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). We are thrilled that you stopped by for a visit!

Sunday, August 31, 2014. Maddie and Caleb went with me on a trip to Nashville to visit Phillip, Christine, Brody and meet baby Lincoln. Caleb's first plane ride. Making energy balls with Roman. Caleb could really use some more attention. Audrey painted her face (which she does often). I took a picture of her reaction when she saw her face for the first time. A few second later. Hunter builds legos every day. This day he decided he needed to wear goggles. Vivi jumped on the trampoline with the kids. My ne...

Thursday, April 30, 2015. This month we went to Froberg strawberry farm for Audrey's birthday. The kids had a blast picking strawberries. Easter Sunday family pic. the best we could get. Madison has been wanting to do my morning bible study with me. Sweet girl. Madison has almost outgrown naps which means she and Hunter now have some extended quality time together in the afternoons while the littles sleep. I looked outside to see them basking in the sun just hanging out and talking. Popsicles by the pool.

http://jordashblack.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2014. We went to Canton for 1st Monday and to see Papa's store! This is how we spent a good part of the day. Both the littles wanting to be worn by mom. We celebrated Madison's half birthday (4.5 year) with a donut breakfast (tradition). These kids LOVE to clean if it means they get gloves, clorox wipes or their own spray bottle. Many hands make light work! We spent some time over Thanksgiving this month baking with the grandmas. What great memories! My cute dinner helper. And the gr...

Friday, October 31, 2014. This month Jordan and Hunter took off to Medina Children's home along with our family class at church. They spent the weekend remodeling an area and turning it into a workout facility for the campus. The boys had a fun and hard working weekend together. We also went to Canton 1st Monday to see Papa's store with the family. School in session and a day dad is working from home. I love these kind of days! The girls came in to join me for a feeding session with Caleb. Cuties. Rough ...

Caleb's Courage
Friday, August 7, 2015. Last Days of Summer! God is so good! Caleb has had an amazing summer, with very few side-effects from chemo, and absolutely no secondary infections or illnesses. What a beautiful blessing! Cal's big brother is not a fan of needles, but Zach still insists on being right by his little bro to support him! There really is something to the saying of "brotherly love". Precious babysitter, Nicole, is always by our sides through thick 'n thin, too! They had a BLAST with their cousins!

Caleb's Courageous Journey
Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Getting ready for a new phase. I haven't posted in a while. It seems like I get caught up in the daily routine of things and just forget to update everyone on how he is doing. Caleb has been doing really great. We have been doing our weekly visits and as you can tell Caleb still loves the iPad. I really don't know how we would have made it this far without it. The picture of Caleb on the right here was so funny! The nurses were cracking up! Thursday, March 14, 2013. Caleb is stil...
