The Kingdom Works: February 2005
http://kingdomworks.blogspot.com/2005_02_01_archive.html
Because one blog just isn't enough. Monday, February 28, 2005. I found out yesterday, in Marilyn vos Savant's. Magazine column (she's the smartest person in the world, which is why she has the. Column), that the word "gullible," which everyone uses and knows the meaning of, does not actually exist. It's not even in the dictionary. Posted by James Leroy Wilson at 1:24 PM. The meaning of "Illustrious". Posted by James Leroy Wilson at 1:20 PM. Credible, Not Verifiable. Posted by James Leroy Wilson at 1:14 PM.

The Kingdom Works: Values (or, Doctrine, Worship, Morality)
http://kingdomworks.blogspot.com/2005/07/values-or-doctrine-worship-morality.html
Because one blog just isn't enough. Wednesday, July 13, 2005. Values (or, Doctrine, Worship, Morality). My latest Partial Observer column is here. It mentions religion, as usual:. The article is really about values. Since values are non-negotiable, everything else must be in order to guarantee peaceful coexistence. That's true for the politics of the State. Can it be true for the politics of the Church? That doesn't seem to work. Carl Braaten in his letter to the chief of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.

The Kingdom Works: The SUV as Ministry
http://kingdomworks.blogspot.com/2005/05/suv-as-ministry.html
Because one blog just isn't enough. Tuesday, May 31, 2005. The SUV as Ministry. The new devil is the SUV. It is the symbol of consumerism (having more than you need), status-seeking, and environmental irresponsibility. All three of which plague the church and present a challenge for the Church. I'm pausing to let you all nod your head in sober agreement and concern.). A vehicle that big? And trailers, loaded them up with boxes, furniture, and odds and ends, brought them to town, and unloaded them.

The Kingdom Works
http://kingdomworks.blogspot.com/2005/05/from-friend-on-political-e-mail-list.html
Because one blog just isn't enough. Monday, May 09, 2005. From a friend (on a political e-mail list):. On a personal level, I am not a religious person . I see far more examples of death, scorn, division and elitism from this institution than the good works their individual members wish to practice.". I wonder if the problem/failure of "personal evangelism" is not that Christian believers are embarrassed by the Gospel, but rather that they are ashamed of the Church, for the very reason stated above?

The Kingdom Works: On Baptism
http://kingdomworks.blogspot.com/2005/05/on-baptism.html
Because one blog just isn't enough. Friday, May 27, 2005. Something I posted over at Rev. Lemonholm's spot. My personal opinion, unbacked by theology, is that an infant's parents ought to be baptized before the infant, as a sign and promise that the baby is actually going to be raised in the Kingdom of God. Beyond that, did John the Baptist turn away anyone from baptism? Yes, he tried to turn away one). Posted by James Leroy Wilson at 5:57 PM. Spoiled by the Trinity. Cracking the Da Vinci Code.

The Kingdom Works: June 2005
http://kingdomworks.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
Because one blog just isn't enough. Wednesday, June 22, 2005. My latest at the Partial Observer. Posted by James Leroy Wilson at 11:47 PM. Thursday, June 16, 2005. My latest at the Partial Observer. Was provoked by a re-reading of the Genesis account. "God" appears in Chapter 1, but then in Young's Literal Translation, "Jehovah God" comes onto the scene in Chapter 2. In popular translations, "Jehovah" is replaced by "The LORD.". What will you discover? Or is he the son of the LORD God? Much of my bloggin...

The Kingdom Works: Joyce Meyer's millions
http://kingdomworks.blogspot.com/2005/05/joyce-meyers-millions.html
Because one blog just isn't enough. Friday, May 06, 2005. Joyce Meyer made millions, records say. Nobody should care, except, how in the world can a Christian middle-age or late-middle age couple spend so much money? What are they doing making multi-six-figure salaries? I'm not asking in a judgmental way; how do people like that spend their money? Posted by James Leroy Wilson at 8:51 PM. Spoiled by the Trinity. Cracking the Da Vinci Code. When Stereotypes Come True. The Kingdom Works: The Science of the Paranormal etc.
http://kingdomworks.blogspot.com/2005/06/science-of-paranormal-etc.html
Because one blog just isn't enough. Monday, June 13, 2005. The Science of the Paranormal etc. Much of my blogging of late has been at Independent Country. Obsessing about medical marijuana and Peter McWilliams, and have not ventured much into strictly religious themes of late. One thing I forgot to post here was to note the appearence of "Why Jesus" by Everett Wilson at the Partial Observer. Also, Jonathan Wilson introduces a new series at the PO, A Mystic Reads Rand. Finally, as a Coast to Coast AM.
