My parents are firm believers that hard work builds character, so my 5 siblings and I had every opportunity imaginable to work. From hauling wood to helping in the garden to painting the house every few years to raking leaves, we have done it all. So, with all that exposure, you'd think I would be a pro at yard beautification.

Haiti, Day 14. Well, today was my last full day in Haiti. It is amazing how fast trips go! I was going to say vacations, but this really was not a vacation. Anyways, we were all on the bus this morning by 8:30am and we headed off to do some shopping. We went to a place called the Metal Art Market. Hawaii, Pictures 2. Hawaii, Day 6 and 7. Well tomorrow we are homeward bound. It's pretty sad, but in a way I am ready to get back. I have a lot to do! Anyways, so yesterday we drove to the north part of the island and went on an ATV tour. It was a ton of fun! Haiti, Day 8. This morning I got up, got ready, and ate breakfast around 7am. Then at 8am, we walked down to take a tour of the Healing Hands for Haiti Clinic. We are staying on the HHH Compound, and the HHH Clinic is down the hill, on the same property. We took a quick tour and then spoke with the CEO of HHH. At the clinic they do a few things. They work with amputees and can create prosthetics on site and they also do physical therapy. The building was finished last month and is beautiful. Ten kids liv...

Haiti, Day 2. A man came to the compound, Jalokie (spelling? And boarded the bus. We were headed to UNICEF to meet with a few people from that organization. It honestly blows my mind. We arrived at UNICEF which is on a UN Compound, which is home to several other organizations such as the World Food Programme.
