Rick Fossum's Blog: Reinventive Reality
http://rickfossum.blogspot.com/2011/11/reinventive-reality.html
Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Its been said that if you dress for success, you'll be successful. We react to things that happen in our personal or professional lives and try to change a status quo, change an appearance, change a perception, change something to what our idea of it ought to be. I am in my fourth year of being a non-smoker. There is a line in the movie Dead Again. It took an act of God to transform me. And He did. When I stopped doing it on my own and allowed him to own it. I've even tried to...

Rick Fossum's Blog: Fail Safe
http://rickfossum.blogspot.com/2011/03/fail-safe.html
Saturday, March 26, 2011. With culture skewed this way, our attitude toward failure is skewed—our attitude toward failure is wrong. We have to have the freedom to fail. In relationship, marriage, business, parenting, and with ourselves. Failure means something was tried. Failure can be a result of inappropriate decision-making, selfish behavior, and overall poor effort. Additionally, it can be a result of trying something, good intention, and an effort to improve. Nothing meaningful is fail-safe. And...

Rick Fossum's Blog: A Kee Insight
http://rickfossum.blogspot.com/2014/05/a-kee-insight.html
Friday, May 30, 2014. Now this may not be your style of art and music, but if you truly listened, I'd bet there's something within inSIGHT that would at the very least, make you pause and consider yourself—something which I believe Kee would hope for. And while you may not agree with Kee's message—I'm not sure if that'd matter to him either. So I encourage you to visit iTunes and search under Stephen Kee to give a quick listen, and if so inclined, to download. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). For thos...

Rick Fossum's Blog: June 2014
http://rickfossum.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 14, 2014. A Father's Day Early. I know I'm a day early, but wanted to make sure I had a moment, and was "in the moment" when scribing my latest installment. A bit of an ode to my Dad. So this gives me a chance for me to show my honor-thy-father in a newfound way as I support in more physical and mental fashions. Which is a pleasure. You see, our dads (well, most that I know) have been there for us. I mentioned in a Father's Day ode. How would I care for his wife? Dad, you've done this....

Rick Fossum's Blog: Thanks Dad
http://rickfossum.blogspot.com/2010/06/thanks-dad.html
Saturday, June 19, 2010. I want to share with you some of the many ways you've fathered and influenced me. Dad as Selfless Leader:. Now I've seen you change over the years as your reliance upon our Heavenly Father, your faith in our Lord Jesus, and your trust in a life of prayer, has grown. I have seen a quiet and reserved man stand in church with his hands opened (in your uniquely beige-like manner) place himself under God's control and grace. June 19, 2010 at 3:43 PM. Honeythis is absolutely beautiful!

Rick Fossum's Blog: Our Christmas Carol
http://rickfossum.blogspot.com/2012/12/our-christmas-carol.html
Saturday, December 15, 2012. Yesterday was the mass killing in a Newtown, CT elementary school. Last night I saw my second born perform in the role of Scrooge's nephew in a local adaptation of A Christmas Carol. The director is a 5th grade teacher here in town. I can't imagine how the day's tragedy played through his heart and mind. He loves kids. He teaches kids. This past election season was a tough one for me. I've spent the past year volunteering once a week at The Atlanta Mission,. We live in the wo...

Rick Fossum's Blog: For Cluck's Sake
http://rickfossum.blogspot.com/2013/12/for-clucks-sake.html
Friday, December 20, 2013. First, let me caveat this and say this is not a point of view on free speech. Nor does it really have anything to do with what Phil Robertson said or did not say in his GQ interview. And its not an op ed on the authenticity of Robertson's faith, or his family either. Moreover, its some thoughts around the public reaction. I wonder what Jesus would have done with a Facebook account. I'm not sure Jesus would have taken to the airwaves to defend Himself or His Faith. Jesus also sa...
