Behind the older 4 in this first picture is the first gate into the Forbidden City from the square. Tuesday, March 22, 2011. In October, we enjoyed attending the wedding reception for my younger cousin (she was the flower girl in my own wedding) and her new husband. They had a beautiful reception at the home of my aunt and uncle. There was good food, good music and everyone had a delightful time celebrating the new marriage! Here is the bride and her daddy. And with her groom. And our kiddos enjoying the dance. The four older cousins enjoying hanging out. And all seven of my parents grandchildren.

We arrived in Guilin late at night and woke early to take a small river boat cruise down the Li River. we cruised down the river for 3-4 hours admiring the beauty of God's creation. Beautiful limestone formations called Karsts rising from the earth to the skies. Beautiful indeed! The girls enjoyed playing cards on the boat too as we cruised down the river. Friday, August 13, 2010. Fun In The Sun! We were so excited to be able to join my family for our traditional family week at the beach! AND to be able to introduce our daughter to the sand and the surf! She was not such a big fan at first, but by the end of the week, she was enjoying it along with the rest of them. When we first arrived, it was very windy and she did not like the wind in her face or the stuff we call SAND on her feet! But by the end of the week , she was even EATING it! Fun In The Sun!

Sunday, January 29, 2012. Gong Hei Fat Choi! That is how you say Happy Chinese New Year in Cantonese which is the language spoken in the part of China our daughter is from. On Saturday, our family joined about 5,000 other people in our area to celebrate Chinese New Year 2012.The Year of the dragon! We watched as many Chinese children performed dances and music. The Dragon dance was especially spectacular! We went to the activity tables where Lottie and Corrie colored a Dragon and the Chinese animals.

Wednesday, July 28, 2010. At the end of the week, they have a closing ceremony which the families are invited to attend. This year at the closing , both of the boys were recognized for their efforts throughout the year to complete monthly bible studies which they submitted back to the camp each month. They each had completed ALL their lessons and had submitted them on time and were recognized with a trophy for their accomplishments. Here are our 4 blessings.reunited after a week of camp for the boys.

A little coffee for our long journey. We met a nice young college student in the airport who was traveling home and was quite enthralled with the girls. So excited to be heading back to China.
