Edgewood Florist: October 2013
http://edgewoodflorist.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 31, 2013. Today is the day we all get to let loose the “crazier” side of us all. It is socially accepted, and even encouraged for us to dress up as our favorite ghoul, zombie or what ever character or creature strikes your fancy. It has become almost a tradition to be as gruesome as possible, and to be able to scare the most strong of heart. Doesn’t that sound like so much fun! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Edgewood Florist: January 2014
http://edgewoodflorist.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 9, 2014. OK, so I am a little late - but, as they say, better late than never! See, this is what happens when we go through a very hectic holiday season, we get a little tired and forgetful (this is me making excuses for my tardiness.) That being said, I would like to extend everyone's wishes here, to all of you out there, for a year full of joyful memories, loving family and friends, health, happiness and prosperity! Edgewood Florist: January 2015
http://edgewoodflorist.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 6, 2015. So to usher in the New Year, and to take our minds off what a mess it is outside, I have collected some interesting “holidays” you could celebrate throughout this cold month. Let’s start with today, January 6, is Cuddle Up day. Aww doesn’t that sound nice, not that you should need a reason to cuddle up with your child, spouse or fluffy pooch, but if you haven’t done so lately, today is a good day to do so. January 22. Answer Your Cats Question Day. Well I am not so sure ...Janua...

Edgewood Florist: November 2014
http://edgewoodflorist.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 18, 2014. Sprucing up your November blues. November, can you believe it! Where does the time go? I find that this month, out of all the other months of the year, is one of the longest and the most dark. The days are shorter, the leaves are gone, and until the snow arrives, it's just plain gloomy outside. So how can we perk things up a bit? So how about some lovely winter urns? If you already have garden urns in the front, we can easily use those, providing you remove the soil before it ...

Edgewood Florist: October 2014
http://edgewoodflorist.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 30, 2014. Well, here we are the end of October. Tomorrow is old Hallows eve, better known as Halloween. The day we get to dress up, and for a short time, be someone (or something) different. I always liked Halloween; I think it is a fun day and should be treated as such. There is a kid inside every one of us, so let out that inner child! Now I know some of you are thinking, what does Halloween have to do with flowers? Isn’t this so much fun, I just love Halloween. Edgewood Florist: December 2013
http://edgewoodflorist.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 18, 2013. IT’S ALMOST CHRISTMAS! So here we are a week before Christmas. A week where, those of us who celebrate it run around in circles trying to get everything done in time for the big day. From the shopping for last minute gifts, to picking up the yummy treats we serve to our family and friends, or (as in my case) working feverishly to put those lovely arrangements together to adorn the many holiday tables. Oh don’t worry, I haven’t gotten to the bah humbug stage yet. Don’t ...

Saturday, December 13, 2014. Well, we certainly got some snow this week! So, because of this I have decided to share some snow facts I have uncovered. Did you know that snowflakes are actually clear and colorless? Were you aware that there is a difference between a blizzard and a snowstorm? In order for a storm to be labeled a blizzard it must have the following 3 conditions:. 1 – Visibility is such that you can’t see for ¼ mile (.6 Klm). 2 – The storm must last for at least 3 hours. According to the Gui...

Edgewood Florist: February 2015
http://edgewoodflorist.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2015. Spring is just around the corner! Those wonderful tulips, happy daffodils, wonderfully scented hyacinths, not to forget the shy little crocus or grape hyacinth. They are all out there for us to give and receive. I am sure that having a pot of wonderfully happy spring bulbs will make us all feel a bit warmer and happier inside. This is a mixture of bulb plants done up nicely in either a ceramic container, or basket. Friday, February 6, 2015. Valentine's - A Day of Love. I have s...
