She had liver and pancreatic issues and nothing could be done so we gave her the last gift we could and let her go peacefully and without pain. Abby was born in Scotland, April 4, 1997. Abby is best known to my Etsy friends as the dog who ate all the trimmings off a dozen of my Medicine rocks then denied having done so. I can't go anywhere without stopping to check out pods, seeds, shells, bark, stones, feathers and so on. However, it is necessary to be careful to stay with legal and safe limits. These are really pretty beans/seeds in shades from dark wine red to light orange. So, when you collect things from nature, be aware that there might be a downside. Stay legal and stay safe. Wednesday, May 16, 2012. Hootie is the newest member of our family. He is a 6 year old Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) who was the companion of my sister who is suffering from Alzheimer's and has had to be placed into Care. Hootie (Hoot and he is one) is fitting in very well around here except for one dog who keeps wondering when Hootie will be going home. Between exams coming up, and papers due, I've also been busy baking some of my 'sweet mess' macaroons and working on a couple custom orders- all of which I shipped out today, with the exception of 2 of the custom orders. I decided I'd like to give some local craft fairs a try this year, so expect an update on where to find me later on. I need to build up some inventory or my tables are going to look awful bare! I can barely wait, I'm so excited!

Saturday, February 19, 2011. Tye Dye Mania, Day 1. Today I broke out the shirts and dye, and I had a blast! I did 10 shirts, which are now drying in my bathroom. It's annoying my boyfriend to no end, because he knows I have a lot more to do. :). I took pictures of the first 5, but by the time I had 5 more done, it was starting to get dark. Sunday, July 26, 2009. We spent time with a cruising friend, John LaBat, near Easton, Maryland. Dietrich worked with him for a day, building docks for landing kayaks. We met John in the Bahamas, so this was a nice opportunity to see him in his home territory. .
