毎日ニュースで政治について伝えられる。 でも政治ってなんなんだ。 政治家になる為には、地元の議員に立候補したり、有名人の中には、いきなり国会議員に立候補する人もいますが、まずは選挙です。 筆者の地元の市議会選挙で、最近興味深い風景を見ました。 ２０台後半の明らかに若く、社会経験が短そうな青年が、毎週決まった日に早朝、夕方のラッシュ時間を狙って、地元の主要ローカル駅で必死で演説をしている風景です。 政治家になる為に、政治家が選挙数日前に選挙カーでがなりたてるうるささにうんざりすることが多いのですが、この青年は、市民がいつ、どの選挙があるのかの告知すら知らない数ヶ月前から、毎日駅を変え、手作りのチラシをまき、使い古した自転車で回りながら演説していました。 政治家は、選挙のときだけうまいこと言って、あとは責任逃ればかり言ってるような人などと思っていたのですが、こんなに毎日働いている若い人が、市民のために活動しようとしてくれるなら、と、生まれて初めて投票に行ったものです。 政治家の仕事内容は、個人や企業などから成り立つ社会全体の利益を考えて、それぞれの意見を調整し、方向...国際政治は、世界それぞ...
