Thursday, January 09, 2014. What Compelled Them to Stay? In John 6, Jesus taught some things that were extremely difficult for many of his followers to accept. What was so compelling about the words of Jesus that causes Peter to say, " To whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. What are the words of eternal life? It is a Divine compulsion.

miscellāneus: Is this what Paul meant by Foolishness?
http://scriptorum.blogspot.com/2009/06/is-this-what-paul-meant-by-foolishness.html
Thursday, June 11, 2009. Is this what Paul meant by Foolishness? We are told in the letter to 1 Corinthians that the Gospel is "foolishness to those who are perishing" (1 Cor 1:18). Some people understand that to mean that it's okay to be foolish. Take the following true story as an example. So when Paul says that the gospel of God is foolishness to the Greeks, is this what he meant? Did he mean for us to be foolish? Or can we be wise about how to share Christ with our world? Contrariwise,' continued Tweedledee, `if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic.'. Monday, October 29, 2012. Bible Versions -Which One is Best? Personally, I dont like modern versions. Like others, I suppose, when I wanted to seriously study Scripture I went shopping for a bible at one of those Christian book stores. I wondered why so many different versions existed and why pastors and teachers didnt address the subject. Saturday, October 20, 2012.

The other evening about blogging, I have decided to pray about and put forth the idea of a new direction for the blog. I will be the first to admit that I am not the brightest (or even in the top 1000 brightest). So, I plan on starting with Thomas Watson's The Godly Man's Picture.
