I think "Scott Free" is the perfect name because I can't get anyone to PAY me to write these days, so if I'm not drawing a paycheck at the moment, might as well give it away. She strongly encouraged me to start a blog and get busy. So, saddle up and away we go! Somehow in my newspaper career I got steered away from writing and into editing and page design - which I thoroughly enjoy - but it's time to see whether anyone will read, and enjoy, what I write.
