ED 626 Classroom Research. This study has given me a clearer understanding of the effect that praise has on student behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine if praise of wanted behaviors, by a substitute teacher, was an effective strategy in reducing disruptive and inappropriate behaviors in the classroom. Data analysis revealed that there was a reduction of disruptive and inappropriate behaviors after the intervention was implemented. December 6, 2014. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
