Where I write about my knitting. Tuesday, December 31, 2013. Last Post for 2013. Hard to believe it is the last day of the year and time to access the knitting accomplishment for the end of the year. I managed to complete everything I had planned for Christmas. the key was to start before September. Then I had so much time that I kept adding projects, but at least they all got done. Bees to Honey by Amy Miller;. US 4, Addis Clicks. 24 stitches and 36 rows = 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch. Like quite a fe...

Where I write about my knitting. Tuesday, February 11, 2014. A Sweater Update.Finally. It appears that once again I have not posted in quite some time. The last time was such a pain that I haven't had the patience to deal with blogger's problem with my Surface. The two don't speak the same language. or something along those lines. Lots of stuff has been on the needles and finished.3 hats, a wrap, a cowl and a sweater since my last updated back in December. Yeah! My last project completed for 2013 was a s...

Where I write about my knitting. Wednesday, July 03, 2013. This was written way back in December 2012.so I'm a wee bit off in the posting mainly because I never liked any of the pictures of this cardigan. Today I tried again, then decided that these were just going to have to do. It was my first time knitting with this yarn and I really loved how it felt in my hands. It is a 100% superwash merino in a DK weight that really feels soft and squishy against the skin. The cables really do pop against ...DK / ...

Kalispell Montana Knitting, Etc. Recipes from the Castoffs. November 26, 2012. Knitting at Carol’s house – November 15, 2012. We all gathered at Carol’s house this week because Linda was in the throes of painting! I can’t wait to see her new decor. We’ll do just that for our Christmas extravaganza on Dec. 6. But at Carol’s we enjoyed treats that Mary brought. Thanks, Mary! Sparkle, sparkle. Can’t you just see little Grace in this? It’s hat season! Mary is knitting a couple of hats – I think, for he...

Kalispell Montana Knitting, Etc. Recipes from the Castoffs. October 8, 2012. Knitting at Leslie’s house – October 4, 2012. On a sunny, blustery fall day we all met at Leslie’s house. Because it was Linda’s birthday, I brought cute little cupcakes for the celebration. One, two, BLOW! Winter must be coming! Francy brought a little knitted bird on its nest and when she lifted the bird from the nest, there were blue eggs underneath. Francy knit this for her granddaughter Grace who watched the birds outsi...

Kalispell Montana Knitting, Etc. Recipes from the Castoffs. October 30, 2012. Knitting at Carol’s house – October 25, 2012. We Castoffs met at Carol’s house on a damp, cloudy day to begin work, in earnest, on the chair that we’re yarnbombing for the Library fundraiser that will take place in the spring. We brought our swatches, finished and un, to pin onto the chair so we could get an idea of what we wanted to do. Should it resemble a flower? With a poppy seat and greenery climbing up the sides? Hey, it&...

Where I write about my knitting. Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Over the weekend I finally made the decision to frog my Cable and Rib Top. Before I could reclaim the yarn it needed a bath in wool wash. Unfortunately that is where I ran into a snag.no wool wash. My last bottle of Soak was all used up a few weeks ago. I started looking for more which you think would be a simple process. Nope. All done.kinks to be soaked away. It has been at least a year(? A nice bath in Eucalan. Thursday, October 17, 2013.

Where I write about my knitting. Wednesday, October 31, 2012. At Least They Were Done in October. I cheated on this month's socks in a big way. I think these were started maybe a year *. Could be.I deleted them from my Ravelry page. For some reason so I don't have a clue as to the cast on date. Anyway I found them buried in one of my knitting bags and decided to cheat on the October sock. Not much else to really say about it other than I'm finished with one more unfinished project. His and Her Socks.
