Phnom Bakheng - Angkor City, Cambodia. THIS is why people climb up at the end of the day, aside from the fact that it's too hot earlier. The sunset here is great! This long trek up the mountain is not as bad as it looks. Activity at the Bottom. Many people waited for elephant rides to the top after first looking at the climb. Once you've reached the mountain top you find this flat area at the base of the structure. Then comes more climbing. This is Angkor Wat as seen from atop of Phnom Bakheng.
