http://pendeenbirding.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Monday, 23 February 2015. Monday 23rd February - Wrapping Up. I'm back home now after an uneventful last day. The weather on Saturday was properly stormy with a great looking sea on view at Pendeen. We however had to soldier on with shutting down the cottage. The only bird news of note was that I saw the pair of Choughs again down by the cliffs as I was packing the car. The Gulval Little Bunting. The Swanpool Ring-billed Gull. Car park moth - I think it's Agonopterix heracliana. Saturday, 21 February 2015.

Monday, 3 August 2015. Sunday 2nd and Monday 3rd August. Common Scurvygrass growing by the lighthouse. Sharp-angled Peacock skulking in the Blackthorn. Part way along the walk we came across several Small Pearl-bordered Fritillaries feeding away and offering some great views - it's always nice to see these diminuative Fritillaries. The coastal path was adorned with lots of summer flowers including Wild Carrot, Betony, and Common Fleabane which had come out since my last visit. Friday 7th Back Home. Joe P...

Tuesday, 4 August 2015. Tuesday 4th August Pendeen, Hayle and Marazion. And I elected to wander the few hundred yards down to the lighthouse instead. I found this Ruby Tiger outside the cottage, grounded by the wind and rather exposed so I tucked it away somewhere safe to roost. The long-staying Hayle Ring-billed Gull. The Sea Rocket was in full flower now. I think that this Orache is Spear-leaved Orache. After that we headed off home, stopping off en route. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Porthleven...

Thursday, 30 July 2015. 30th July - Mopping Up.
