Abandoning the Tap: Considering Water Containment | The Kinky Hose Garden Project
https://kinkyhosegardenproject.com/2015/05/19/abanding-the-tap-considering-water-containment
The Kinky Hose Garden Project. Abandoning the Tap: Considering Water Containment. May 19, 2015. We at the Kinky Hose Garden Project absolutely love the idea of rain water containment. The benefits are numerous, from the health of our garden to the health of our community. What follows herein is a brief case for water containment and some ideas we are considering. Tap Water or Top Soil? Rain barrels collect rain. That seems simple enough, right? Rain barrels conserve water in the summer, when demand is th...
Fluffyguts: August 2006
http://fluffyguts.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 13, 2006. Because nothing interesting really happens in our lives, here is a quick update on what we've been doing. Last weekend we took the boys to the dog park, which they always love. Sam was obsessive about his ball (to the point of ignoring every other dog and person at the park) whilst Charlie just wanted to play. The End - of another boring post :o). Posted by kh at 6:22 pm. Wednesday, August 02, 2006. Not counting the rolled ankle courtesy of Saturday's volleyball game, we have mul...

Saturday, January 20, 2007. Today we went to Monarto Zoological Park with John's parents, Paul, Jo and Caitlin. I was hoping it was going to be fairly quiet because it was forecast to rain all day. Unfortunately, when we got there it was packed. Still, it was another lovely day. I can't wait to go back. Here are some of the animals at the zoo. Posted by kh at 8:58 pm. Friday, January 19, 2007. It's been a while. Here are a couple of pics of us Council-workers hard at it. Posted by kh at 10:47 pm. Well no...

Sunday, October 29, 2006. Hopefully we'll go back soon. Posted by kh at 5:30 pm. Tuesday, October 24, 2006. For Rossdale, one giant leap for US! We can finally see some progress on our house. We went to the block today because we had our committee meeting, and it was sooo nice to see work has started, even if it is just a bit of gravel. I'm actually getting excited again, even though I know we still have HEAPS to do once it's built, but it's one step closer. Stay tuned for more updates! Visit to the zoo.
Fluffyguts: June 2006

Sunday, June 18, 2006. This weekend was a big one for the boys. Saturday we had the Winter Wonderland Golden Retriever fun day. It was great to catch up with Jane and Tony and all the other golden's. There was fun for everyone - 2 and 4 legged alike! There was Socks 4 Dogs. Sammy even got spoilt, getting groomed by Jane and Tony (though I don't think he saw it as a good thing). Posted by kh at 3:48 pm. Monday, June 12, 2006. Posted by kh at 12:28 pm. Saturday, June 03, 2006. Today John and I went shoppin...

Sunday, May 21, 2006. Million Paws Walk 2006. Today we took the boys to the Million Paws Walk, which raises money for the RSPCA. It was held in Rymill Park, Adelaide, and was a great day out. After the walk, we all trooped back to Darren and Sarah's place for lunch, just before the rain started. All in all, a great (although tiring) day out! Posted by kh at 5:02 pm. Saturday, May 06, 2006. It was great to hear from some of you again, after such a long time! I expect to get some photos :o). Hello and welc...

Friday, February 09, 2007. John and I have had most of the week off (John had whole week, I had from Wednesday). Wednesday we didn't do much, but the last couple of days has been really good. Yesterday was great. We actually went back to the zoo - finally! We've been saying we need to go back for AGES and AGES but have been resistant to going on the weekend. We figured - second week back at school on a week day should be quiet enough - and we were right. Posted by kh at 10:00 pm. What a Wild Week. We wer...
