Saturday, July 26, 2014. Running The Costco Gauntlet. Shopping at Costco can be fun. We can shop and eat what amounts to a sample plate of appetizers during happy hour. (Costco in Tijuana, Mexico served Tequila samples - I thought I heard since the privatization of liquor sales, this happens here in the U.S. as well.) Saturdays are especially delicious. I brought my son with me and told him, "this is lunch so eat up! The trick now is to live and learn and not go whole hog the next time. We will see.

Monday, June 3, 2013. In for a Penny, In for 16 Ounces. Ah, the Card Dance. I do love a good slide show and the Card Dance is pretty darn awesome. (I only used 8 pictures though, not 16. It couldn't be helped. this is me trying not to "make the universe when I was asked to make a ball."). It was their last show and I won the tickets by calling into the radio station. I thought it was a fitting full circle event because Elizabeth auditioned for American Idol the last time they were in Seattle. It was quite an experience. Monday, April 29, 2013. Working on the font was like finding buried treasure as each new glyph is revealed. I found it easier to make the lower case fonts because I already had a design which made working out the elements go faster. I like the way everything turned out. See the results below. Monday, May 20, 2013. Way back in the day of Sting's Glory days, there was a restaurant called 13 Coins. This seems like a bit of foreshadowing to me because 13 coins went bankrupt in the '90s and closed, restructured, then opened again. Maybe like lightening, bad luck doesn't strike in the same place twice. This week's assignment, as usual has a very thin thread that leads to my intro. The number 13, although bad luck for the restaurant, good luck for game-making aficionados everywhere. Art in the Life.

Sunday, June 29, 2014. On day two I weighed in at 259. That is a four pound loss overnight. I know I didn't eat enough food, but I was working and didn't plan well so I truly deserved to lose those four pounds. Woe is me. Anyway, on the second day of my story, the future seemed so bright. I was going to eat my serving sizes and for sure eat as close to my calorie ceiling as I could. I intend to keep my food intake between 1800 and 2000. I am very busy during the week, logging my food intake on Lose It!
