Random and infrequent thoughts. Monday, November 25, 2013. Yesterday, Sunday, was one of the recurring "continuing hikes" on the towpath. It was in the area beyond Hancock, MD called Cohill Station- that was a station on the now defunct Western Maryland Railway. It was also very very cold. It blew in gusts, unexpectedly. The Westover farmers market runs down McKinley Street. Black Rock Orchard for apples and cider. Are these all cauliflours? The former Walter Reed School, now part of Westover Library. Shells Yes = crabcakes, etc. Grace's Pastries - source of my favorite raisin bread. A bakery for dog biscuits.

September 23, Monday - - Of course the hotel was comfortable and I awoke refreshed, had a good breakfast, and took a short walk along the river and part of the town of Cahors. The new railway bridge at Cahors. And the older bridge - I don't know how old. Cahors is on the Pilgrim Route, and this brass scallop embedded in the sidewalk tells the walkers they're not lost. Wonderfully casual for dining al fresc.

Random and infrequent thoughts. Thursday, February 7, 2013. We learned about Sanibel's Farmer's Market a few years ago. Then it was held on Sunday mornings in the parking lot of one of the 2 or 3 shopping centers along Periwinkle Drive. Not only was it nice to see fresh fruits and vegetables, but also seafood, meats, German and French baked goods, and so on. The famous Honey Bells, and cheap, too. Contrasting colors and shapes; the place where they were grown is listed also. The sign on his smoker reads:.
