Razzle Dazzle - 99% Invisible

This is probably not what you think of when you think of camouflage. Becoming invisible with your surroundings is only one type of camouflage. Camofleurs call this high similarity or blending camouflage. But camouflage can also take the opposite approach. Think about zebras: it’s hypothesized that their stripes make it difficult for a predator to distinguish one from another when the zebras are in a large herd. Conventional high-similarity camouflage just doesn’t work in the open sea. Conditions like...

Camouflage: Sectional Perspective Through Walkers Court
http://aainter6camouflage.blogspot.com/2010/06/sectional-perspective-through-walkers.html
AA INTERMEDIATE UNIT 6. Friday, 11 June 2010. Sectional Perspective Through Walkers Court. Hi Zamri. The section is looking much clearer. some suggestions:. 8226; The inhabitation needs to be more descriptive of the effects you desribe- exposure/ perception (ground floor starts to work though! 8226; Walkers Court elevation needs to be modelled- the perspective is wrong at present- also we need to see glimpses beyond (just blocks). 8226; The flank wall to the left is not straight. 11 June 2010 at 07:31.

AA INTERMEDIATE UNIT 6. Friday, 30 April 2010. Here is a quick sketch for a 1/20 section. The idea is to show spatial relations between surfaces, when they start to get thick or appear as thick. Also I would like to zoom in (two circles on the right) some areas to show material qualities at a 1/5 or 1/2 scale (grain, joint, thickness). I'll try to have a computer drawing on tuesday. Tuesday, 27 April 2010. Your final 12 page brief with examples- over to you! Facet and plan development for hotel. 3rd Floo...

Camouflage: May 2010
http://aainter6camouflage.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
AA INTERMEDIATE UNIT 6. Monday, 31 May 2010. This is the developed version of view 3 with a bit facade around and less perspective. I'll start to do the line drawing if this view is ok. Following the previous post for my section, I cut again through the stair. Below are several views that I thought good. I felt a bit hard to choose the best for my section drawing. This is the draft version of my section drawing. Is this view ok? Shall I zoom in more to the profiles? And any more detail should I add?

Camouflage: Drawing Arrangement update
http://aainter6camouflage.blogspot.com/2010/06/drawing-arrangement-update.html
AA INTERMEDIATE UNIT 6. Monday, 21 June 2010. Following today's discussion, I had some updates for the drawing arrangement. I've changed the scale of each drawing according to the profile grid. I've taken drawing at very low position away. And sorry Jonathan since I don't think the perspective way to put drawings will work also it will be a bit strange when look at them from the front, I would still prefer to put drawings in a normal way. Otherwise I'll use Version 1. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
