Watch a gravity train. Campbell’s Cottage is available throughout the year with change-over day on Friday and short breaks available outside of the main season. Weekly prices are from 360 to 690 depending upon dates. Prices are inclusive of everything, including central heating in winter months, but excluding the weekly rover tickets for the railway. In 2013 these are available at 20.20 (adult) and 10.10 (child).

Campbell's Cottage - Wildlife. Watch the birds up close. You can get really close to nature at Campbell’s Cottage. Birds seem bolder, feeding at the table just an arm’s reach from the kitchen window; nuthatches, woodpeckers and yellowhammers. In the woodlands and depending upon the season there are pied flycatchers, redstarts, tree creepers, tree pipits, buzzards and cuckoos. And of course the famous family of ospreys which have been breeding between here and Porthmadog since 2004. One of our neighbours.

Despite the yo-yo forecast Saturday was a dream day on Llŷn. Starting at the northeast end of Porthor (aka Whistling Sands) we walked to the headland at Uwch Mynydd without seeing a soul; lots of white horses from the north and a fast moving sail doing many more knots than us.
