Wednesday, March 17, 2010. All kinds of stuff . Trip to the rhodo garden in portland. Mt hood trip with Susan and Anna. Well, any good trip starts with a practice drive . On the car ride up, Anna put stickers all over Eli's face, he seemed to enjoy the experience. Our "adventure" was pretty low-key, but this sled and snow shoes made it fun. Monday, July 12, 2010. Hagg Lake picnic with Grandma Song and Pop-pop. 4th of July at our house. Eli was pretending to be a camera, here we were taking each other's pictures . Here Eli was "typing on a computer" (a birthday card). Eli and our neighbor Dylan being silly . Eli went to his first movie in the theater - Toy Story 3 with his best friend Minya. I think it blew his mind, he LOVED it, he and Minya were so funny, screaming and chattering and shouting at the screen. Great experience. Visit to the "...

Friday, September 25, 2009. Helping dad pack the trailer, which dad finished building just in time. Just about ready to go, packed in tight! First night at camp, just after our first cow sighting. Not quite sure about this . Next morning, starting to have some fun . Telling the "cow" story - over, and over, and over . Driving a "tractor" with our camp friend Philip. Playing around with mom and dad and phoebe . Saying goodbye to dad before elk-hunting . Packing up to go home . Camping is hard work!

Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Santa brought Eli a "butterfly kit"; we sent away in the mail, and the mailman brought us a container full of caterpillars and caterpillar food. Soon, they turned into cocoons . We got four butterflies. Eli named them: "Flutter", "Nectar", "Tominum (? Darth Maul the butterfly, eating sugar water sprayed on carnations. Family adventure to Jackson Bottom wetlands. This is a fun place to use our galoshes and spy on birds. Oh, also throw rocks ;). Ice cream afterwards .

Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Big boy bed and other adventures . More dirty laundry . Puzzles have been very popular lately and the completion of one always deserves a round of applause. Eli and I went to visit our friends Holly and Filip and their new baby Maya. Here's Eli with those beautiful girls . Our big new adventure! Dad took the front railing off of the crib and now Eli has a big boy bed! This has caused some excitement in our house and signals a new level of responsibility and confidence for Eli.

Sunday, October 24, 2010. Oregon harvest-time activities . J picked all of these chantrelles and more one day after work - yum! We took a trip up to Hood River with Pop Pop and Grandma Song. We didn't get any apples or pears, instead, we visited a chestnut tree farm. We found a fun swing on the farm. We also visited an alpaca farm, a lot of fun! J at the Vista House. Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Eli and mom visit Colorado. At the Denver airport, Eli is already playing with Grammy. Visiting Grandma Jensen - 4 generations, including the oldest and the youngest members of our family. Hot chocolate - yeah, we got it! Hanging out with "apple" at his apartment. Playing the piano at Grammy's is so much fun. We were singing "who's afraid of the big bad wolf? Eli is sleeping on his "special" bed at Grammy's house. Going on a little mountain climb. Aida, storm trooper, Liam.

Sunday, January 30, 2011. Baby gun" and "slurpy noodles". Dad teaching Eli about gun safety with a BB gun, which Eli calls his "baby gun". The best way to eat spaghetti . Eli and mom have been swimming together for a long time, a favorite activity. This month Eli started his first swim class "intro to swimming", where he has to learn from an instructor. As you can see, that was a scary proposition that first day . He got to go out for ice cream because he gave it a good try. Floating "like an otter".

Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Around the house adventures. Eli and Dad at the Rood Bridge Park on a picnic outing. Eli, Dad, Grandma Song, and Pop Pop . Pretending to be a deer - Bambi remains a popular theme around here. Eli introducing his stuffed dog "Shadow" to his identical twin, our neighbor "Bentley". Driving to Braden and Kaia's house! All of Eli's bedtime friends taking a ride on the train . This is where you park your cars, right? Dying eggs is possibly the most fun activity ever . We love our Grammy!
