Abyssal Oceans of Momentary Existence: September 2012

Abyssal Oceans of Momentary Existence. Thursday, September 13, 2012. Where Symbols Become The Sacred. And the purpose lost, would anyone ever awake? And don't even get me started on the subjectivity of words and language: politicians think that they have done their job just by repeating the words 'justice,' 'equality,' and 'secularism,' in all their speeches. Using the symbols to show truth, as symbols are in fact created for that purpose, is a virtuous attribute (virtuous: as you may understand it).

Abyssal Oceans of Momentary Existence: April 2013

Abyssal Oceans of Momentary Existence. Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Am I a feminist? As a woman and a writer, I ask myself this question everyday. The biggest quandary with respect to calling myself a feminist. Is that there is no one definition for the word. While to some feminism. Http:/ art-for-a-change.com/blog/2007/04/call-for-art-feminist-posters.html. Before I go on, I would like to make a small note of my problems with particular notions of some feminists. That said, here's the other side:. In Hind...

Abyssal Oceans of Momentary Existence: December 2012
http://sindhuwriting.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Abyssal Oceans of Momentary Existence. Wednesday, December 26, 2012. The Age of Kali. Where sexual assault, corruption, politics, exploitation and violence reign supreme, what is the state of women? Women are targets, for the savages to vent their socio-economic-sexual frustration on. This is not new to "India," or humanity. It has happened since time immemorial. The Vedas begin with the incestuous rape of Usha by her father, Prajapati. And in Greek mythology, we find Laius rape Chrysippus. I've been deb...

Abyssal Oceans of Momentary Existence. Friday, May 10, 2013. Films, Enchantment and Camphor Cinema. The allure of films has always held me captive. While words on paper still hold the supreme position in my hierarchy of story-telling, films combine the best of all art: narrative fiction, music, visuals, the semiotics of acting and much more. With an international cast and crew, our first film is an Indo British collaboration. The film is currently in the making. We hope to be able to further collaborate ...

Abyssal Oceans of Momentary Existence: October 2012
http://sindhuwriting.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Abyssal Oceans of Momentary Existence. Tuesday, October 2, 2012. Characters Created and The Reader. Characters in books are not mere illusions. They walk among us, they whisper a word or two of advice when we are not looking, they live in our minds. Once you, my reader, reads the character, sees her thoughts. then she exists. Or, do you see them all the more as real, now knowing how they came to be? I am picking three characters from my novel, 'Kaleidoscopic Reflections,' for the purpose. Is an author an...

Abyssal Oceans of Momentary Existence. Friday, June 29, 2012. The Moral Police Manifesto: Dhoble, Morality and Reality. 1 Drinking alcohol is a heinous crime. 2 Women who drink are evil whores. 3 Any female who goes out after dark is a prostitute. 4 Women who smoke are cheap. 5 Men shouldn't smoke, it's bad for their health. 6 Partying is punishable by morality. 9 All the above is un-godly, un-Ghandhian, and un-Indian (as understood by each). Then they might be from good families, just going in the wrong...

Abyssal Oceans of Momentary Existence. Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Once upon a time, I believed in 'reality.'. A concept that had one definition. One way of seeing life. Then I stumbled, and fell to the ground. A search for the self. There are mysteries in the world. Colors I'd never seen before. So, I let myself dream. Standing on the borders,. Everything is a dream. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Kaleidoscopic Reflections, Novel. Devadasi - The Temple Dancer. Suddenly, a shot rang out .

Abyssal Oceans of Momentary Existence. Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Let Me Molest You'. Let me molest you,' he says. I look at him with disgust, and walk away. He pulls me by my hand and sneers. Something tells me he isn't joking. I scream for help. Not many turn to notice. And those who do, join in. To grope, to graze. Then I'm left with nothing. But sisters tell me,. And I try to believe them. I dare to ask for justice. But they think differently. They say it's I who provoke. That I dress like this. Aweso...
