There is also a complete listing of all the Provincial Parks, as well as the ability to make campsite reservations. There is also a complete listing of the BC Recreational Sites. Which are maintained by the Ministry of Forests. These sites are often off the beaten trail, and are therefore a little more rustic and secluded. One of the largest lakes on Vancouver Island, Cowichan Lake spans aproximately 42 Kilometres. The lake flows into Cowichan River which supplies all the local water needs. Sooke has many hiking trails and is located just over an hour from the start of the West Coast Trail. Known for its world class fishing, Sooke hosts a Salmon Derby every summer. Woensdag 27 juni 2012. Bedrijvigheid op de camping. De afgelopen maanden gonsde het van de bedrijvigheid op onze camping. Naast de camping ligt onze blauwe bessengaard. Ook het kampeerterrein zelf is ingericht met bessenstruiken. Ieder voorjaar komen de imkers de bijenkasten brengen vol zoemende campinggasten.
