September 14, 2008; Nairobi, Kenya. 8221; Most of us are not used to this type of attention and it is alternately startling and charming. On Thursday and Friday we had our first class trips. East Africa 2008: Journey around Mt. Kenya
http://campioneastafrica.blogspot.com/2009/06/journey-around-mt-kenya.html
Journey around Mt. Kenya. September 29, 2008; Nairobi, Kenya. After Thika we continued until we reached the town of Embu, the headquarters of the Eastern Province and located southeast of Mt. Kenya. Embu strikes one as a rather unremarkable town, but typical of a reasonably prosperous regional hub in the agricultural center of Kenya. Like many of the towns in the Eastern Highlands, it began as a supply center and market for the European settlers. View my complete profile. Lewis and Clark Overseas Programs.
