The King Commons: February 2013
http://kingcommons.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 25, 2013. Adventures in The Windy City. However, last weekend the kids had Friday and Monday off from school and Nate had some leftover comp days from the turnaround that he had to take before March. While trying to figure out what to do, someone at work told him about the Amtrak train to Chicago. We had never been on a train and obviously had never been to Chicago, so we decided to go on a (perhaps) crazy adventure. Riding the train from Alton to Chicago (and back again):. Thumbs (mostl...

The King Commons: June 2012
http://kingcommons.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 15, 2012. Our little girl is finally here and she is a sweetie. She was born on June 7th at 4:59pm. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 14 oz. and was 21.5 inches long - making her our biggest baby so far. She has long, beautiful eyelashes and a head full of dark hair. Compared to our other four, so far she looks most like Peter. Everyone here has been thrilled to meet her. All the kids want to hold her and kiss her and share things with her. Peter still exclaims every time he sees her, "Baby!

The King Commons: August 2011
http://kingcommons.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 22, 2011. At the end of July the kids and I drove to Utah to be there for my brother Clark's wedding. How did we do it? Our very nice Grampa Steve flew to Oklahoma and drove with us to Colorado and then with Tutu, too, we drove on to Utah. They were so nice (and very brave) to make the drive with us. It actually went pretty well. We listened to alot of books on tape and made some long rest stops. It was a good adventure. We celebrated Emma's birthday early with a trip to the pioneer park&#...

The King Commons: December 2011
http://kingcommons.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 5, 2011. Tonight Emma was reading in the scriptures about the Three Wise Men and the gifts they brought to the baby Jesus. In her words: "Gold, frankenstein, and myrrh." I promise we haven't watched "Nightmare Before Christmas" this year. Posted by Nate King. After discarding the offending mush I walked into the family room and saw a pair of Talmage's pants on the floor. I picked them up to put them away and a few small things fell out of his pocket:. Peter really had been eating snails!

The King Commons: May 2012
http://kingcommons.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 14, 2012. Well, this is another shameless catch-up post with lots of pictures and unrelated topics. But we wanted to share some of these adventures with you. We are so proud of them for their hard work. Emma met her goal of running the whole way without stopping, and Morgan "passed a lot of kids". I finished my marathon in 3:23, beating my goal of 3:30. After the race we got to go to the open house for the new Kansas City temple:. Father and Son Campout. After we returned from the campout, Em...

Monday, April 30, 2012. The Boys - The Continuing Story. For those who want the continuing story, keep reading. Actually, I'm not going to write much more in this post, but after looking through our pictures it sure seemed like there were an awfully large number of really cute pictures of the boys together. So, I thought I'd share some of them with you. Just chillin' together in the back yard. We didn't get much snow this year, but they enjoyed what we got. Making a mess of their sandwiches. This year I ...

The King Commons: November 2010
http://kingcommons.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 3, 2010. We had a great Halloween. We enjoyed Trunk-or-treat at the church on Thursday and went around to just a few neighbors houses on Saturday to say hello and get a little more candy. We had the Princess (Emma) and the Pea (Peter), and the Princess and the Frog (Morgan), and Talmage was a smash hit as a Crash Test Dummy (or Genius! Hope you all had a good one. Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Since I just recently wrote a post. And he learned what a camel says, "Camel, pweit" (spitting)...
