Camp Thorkildsen: August 2009
http://campthorkildsen.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 5, 2009. Nelle and Lizzy-from Luke. Lukey you shouldn't have! This is what I squealed when I got my gift card to Nelle&Lizzy. Well here's some pics, although they don't do it justice. I'm sure it's too fuzzy to see "Trip" and "Joss" engraved on the individual rings. (I can't figure out how to do real close up shots on my little point and shoot cam. Any suggestions? Links to this post. Tuesday, August 4, 2009. I have found pinwheels to be particularly mesmerising. On so many levels when ...
Camp Thorkildsen: My evening
http://campthorkildsen.blogspot.com/2010/09/my-evening.html
Thursday, September 23, 2010. Maybe even a few Christmas presents, who knows. I bought Jossi a new package of brightly colored beads and fuzzy sticks as she calls her pipe cleaners. It turns out I have quite the crafter on my hands. Every 4 beads she stops and shows me, saying "mom look at these great colors mom! I have been told "not to argue" when I encourage her to keep adding beads and she says she's focusing on making a pile of beads. Hmmm.that sounds familiar, where have I heard that before? A Frie...

Camp Thorkildsen: October 2009
http://campthorkildsen.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 28, 2009. We had a leader scavenger hunt at church in costume. I was the karate kid as a shower and Keri was a UPS man. Good times. The shower won second place in the costume contest. It was bested by a tornado! They clearly spent a lot more time than I did and she deserved to win! Posted by Luke Thorkildsen. Links to this post. The Smiths: January 2010
http://emilyandmattsmith.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 16, 2010. I feel like we're at a wonderful place within our little family of four, plus two wiener dogs. Matt's job is going well. I'm getting back to my favorite hobbies. The kids are healthy, sleeping well, and as always, very giggly and full of surprises. What more could I ask for? Here have been some of my most favorite things as of lately:. Matt has started coaching softball, and although I know he misses volleyball, he still continues to be a great influence and positive coach for...

Sunday, December 19, 2010. Fall videos and updates. It has been a madhouse around here filled with all sorts of wonderful things! Tobin turned five and had several special birthday parties. When I asked him how it felt to be five, he said "Ummm.sort of like eight" like he truly knew what it felt like to be eight years old.what a wise soul! He had a great check-up, weighs 33.4 pounds, and grew three inches in the last year. Here's my boy trying hard to sing with bubblegum in his mouth:. Sew, Mama, Sew.

The Smiths: April 2010
http://emilyandmattsmith.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 28, 2010. Heidi's birthday was yesterday.can it be? It has been a fun and wonderful year. Here are the little things about Heidi at a year that I want to remember:. She has six teeth, two on the bottom and four up top. Her favorite foods are blueberries, broccoli, and crackers. She'll tolerate most other things but her appetite definitely depends on her mood. Some days she'll like a certain food, but will throw it on the floor the next day. She's learned to wave, give high five, and clap.

The Smiths: Chickens
http://emilyandmattsmith.blogspot.com/2011/03/chickens.html
Tuesday, March 22, 2011. I love this photo. Heidi decided to blow bubble for the chicks. This was after she tried to feed them dandelions. The final coop minus paint. We're still deciding how we want to paint it. It has been so much fun for the kids and Tobin is doing great with helping us take care of the chicks. We have had all of our playgroup friends over to share this experience with us and I know we will all have sweet memories of this adventure! Posted by Matt, Emily, Tobin, and Heidi.

Sunday, October 31, 2010. We had a super Halloween weekend. Friday we went to the Fort Worth Zoo for their annual "Boo at the Zoo" event. It was Heidi's first trip to the zoo and she was fearless around the animals! Saturday was Denton Bible Church's fall family festival. This was our second year to go and it was a blast. Pony rides, a petting zoo, train rides, carnival games, bounce houses, face painting, candy.what more could a kid ask for. Posted by Matt, Emily, Tobin, and Heidi. Heidi's favorite part...

The Smiths: February 2010
http://emilyandmattsmith.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 25, 2010. Our doctor explained that after the six month mark, genetics kick in and the baby's size starts to be determined by genes instead of nutrition. Heidi was slightly anemic and I was told that a vitamin supplement would fix that. Other than that, no problems for this little girl! Here's some wonderful things about Heidi at nine months:. Heidi and her pillow. She still doesn't care much for baby food but if I put pieces of bread, carrots, avocado, peas, cheerios or any other tabl...
