Diids: December 2010
http://diids.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Random thoughts and annoyances. probably more annoyances than anything else. Thursday, December 9, 2010. Some parts are meat. Ok, I turned off the captcha for comments on my blog because, frankly, I hate typing them in when I leave comments, or increasingly, do ANYTHING online. (aside: I'll bet there are some clever AI programmers out there doing Turing tests on captcha solving programs). But what gets me are the seeming randomness of these quotes (c.f. Turing test. Yay to my ego. Getting your first car ...

Diids: June 2011
http://diids.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Random thoughts and annoyances. probably more annoyances than anything else. Friday, June 17, 2011. Do you ever catch yourself doing silly things that you laughed at your parents for doing? I caught myself twice in the last little while, and both of them were strangenesses passed on from my mom. The second one is definitely weird. Kathryn was hogging the sink in the kitchen doing dishes or something, and I needed a cup of water for something (maybe a recipe? Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Diids: October 2011
http://diids.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Random thoughts and annoyances. probably more annoyances than anything else. Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Ok, good parent moment. Not on my part though. This one (surprisingly) (wait, I shouldn't say that - I guarantee a punch for that) goes to Kathryn. In a nutshell, Emily can ride a bike now - all thanks to some technique and a lot of patience that Kathryn dug up from somewhere. I know what you're thinking - Kathryn actually had patience for Emily? B) Paranoid, over-protective crazies. The place that w...

Diids: January 2011
http://diids.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Random thoughts and annoyances. probably more annoyances than anything else. Friday, January 14, 2011. Have you ever had a workmare? I used to get them all the time. Mostly while I was still in school. Nowadays, not so much. I think it's because when you're a student, you spend all day in school, and then all evening you do homework, so it stands to reason that you go to sleep and dream about school all night. Would be the language to use in the class. P.S. Modula-2? For me. I don't have to first wri...

Diids: The worst of both worlds
http://diids.blogspot.com/2011/12/worst-of-both-worlds.html
Random thoughts and annoyances. probably more annoyances than anything else. Tuesday, December 20, 2011. The worst of both worlds. Have you been to dinner theatre lately? About a year and a half ago, we went to a dinner theatre show with our BFFs. On the way there, we had such great expectations for some great food and fun entertainment. So that means either 1) fatty prime rib or 2) dry mushroom-sauced chicken. Maybe this passed as great food back in the days when you'd go out for dinner and a dance?

Diids: February 2013
http://diids.blogspot.com/2013_02_01_archive.html
Random thoughts and annoyances. probably more annoyances than anything else. Friday, February 1, 2013. Why I love Geocaching - a photo essay. Ok, so, you may have heard that I love to geocache. For those not in the know, go watch this terrible video:. Ok, back now? Anyway, I like it because it brings you to some awesome places:. Hmm, bridges seem to be prominent in things I decide to take pictures of - must be the engineer in me. But who am I kidding? Here's the real reason why I love geocaching:.

Diids: August 2011
http://diids.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Random thoughts and annoyances. probably more annoyances than anything else. Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Have you ever been asked the question in a job interview "where do you see yourself in 5 years? Aside: what a stupid question). (aside aside, good answer: I see myself interviewing some sorry ass newbie and asking them ridiculously inane questions). Plan #1 - Ok, this one was basically "Let's stop being poor and eating beans on toast every night for dinner. Also, maybe we should start a family". Two a...

Diids: Arrr. Here be treasure
http://diids.blogspot.com/2013/08/arrr-here-be-treasure.html
Random thoughts and annoyances. probably more annoyances than anything else. Monday, August 26, 2013. Arrr Here be treasure. Today, I am winning at life. Leaving the house this morning, I quickly grabbed a coat. (aside - a coat in August? Welcome to Canada). On the way out to the car, I put my hand in the coat pocket to reveal a half-eaten bag of M&Ms from the movies a few months ago. Like, srsly, score! Finding this money would be even better. September 4, 2013 at 10:34 PM. Arrr Here be treasure. Threes...
