August 9, 2013: Winnipeggers held their annual commemoration of the 1945 atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The Lanterns for Peace ceremony is sponsored, each August in Winnipeg, by the Japanese Cultural Association of Manitoba, Peace Alliance Winnipeg and Project Peacemakers.
