Wannabe SuperMom: What would I eat?
http://wannabe-supermom.blogspot.com/2008/09/what-would-i-eat.html
The crazy shenanigans of a mother who's trying to do it all and have it all. Wednesday, September 10, 2008. What would I eat? So, for a fun break, I found this meme from Where's My Cape. And thought I'd join in. 1) Copy this list into your blog, including these instructions. 2) Bold all the items you’ve eaten. 3) Cross out any items that you would never consider eating. 4) Bonus: how many did you have to look up? I looked up 11! 15 Hot dog from a street cart. 19 Steamed pork buns. 20 Pistachio ice cream.

Not so grand reopening. Driftwood (friday foto finder) →. Distorted views through ice. April 2, 2015. Part of what was keeping me busy over the last few months was winter. It was a long hard winter. There was so very much ice and snow. Record-breaking quantities of snow. It’s really quite hard to reconcile this sparkling beauty with the knowledge that it was the herald of thousands of dollars worth of damage to the house. This entry was posted in life. Not so grand reopening. April 3, 2015 at 12:23 pm.

Newer posts →. December 9, 2015. A festive holiday ball that someone dropped in an icy parking lot a couple of years ago. (I’m happy to say that this year, we haven’t yet had more than a few stray flakes of snow. I know it’s coming, but I’m not ready for it yet. I’m still recovering from last winter.). So much for trying to blog daily for the month of November like I’d done the past 7 years. Not only did I drop the ball. November 26, 2015. The turkeys didn’t visit us today, which is Thanksgiving in...

I Can Fly, Just Not Up: December 16
http://icanflyjustnotup.blogspot.com/2013/12/december-16.html
Sunday, December 15, 2013. I'm a Little Christmas Cracker. Performed by Diana Decker. A few years ago, I discovered the most amazing series from the BBC, entitled "Victorian Farm Christmas". It is a wonderfully entertaining resource, which teaches the history of many of the Christmas traditions that we observe to this day, including the making of a wide variety of decorations, different recipes, and of course, the good old Christmas cracker! Saturday, December 14, 2013. Doings of Kriss Kringle". Performed by "The Barnsley Nightengale". In spite of this little tune being sung by the lovely Kate Rusby, of Yorkshire, England, "Kris Kringle" is a name derived from the German, Christkindl. Was never seen, and the sound of a tiny bell would signal that he had visited, and left gifts under the Christmas tree. Although the tradition of the Christkindl. Eventually became what many people now know as "Kris Kringle": another name for Santa Claus. T...

I Can Fly, Just Not Up: Hell's Bells
http://icanflyjustnotup.blogspot.com/2013/12/hells-bells.html
Friday, December 27, 2013. Remember Christmas Eve, when I posted all kinds of hope and gratitude? Well, in that post, I made the grave mistake of saying that I thought the tummy bug that had been going around my family had finally abated. Wrong thing to say. That woman is tough.). In the end, we cancelled Christmas dinner. My sister and her brood were sent home within minutes of arriving on our doorstep, and they took my brother with them. It was no Christmas, that's for sure. Ha ha Very funny. On the br...
