Grief, Growth and Gratitude. As the end of another year approaches, I find myself reflecting upon how much a person’s life can change in 12 months. Mine most certainly did. 2008 started with such promise. Holed up in a dimly lit restaurant in a snow-filled city, champagne in hand, toasting to the kind of love I thought I could only feel for my children. Within months, the fairytale shattered. Love turned to loss and grief seized control. I learned that while fairytales may not always last, they DO exist!
