There were some nice fish brought to the scales at weigh-in, starting with this bass. In keeping with a long-standing tradition, no Cancer Classic is complete without some musicians to set the tone of things. Following weigh-in, anglers park their rigs and get ready for the rest of the day's festivities. There's always plenty of good food and conversation. Some folks enjoy a horse ride.

Started in the year 2002, The Steve Gambill Cancer Classic was the idea of Chris Vitovich to honor his friend who was taken by this dreaded disease too soon. A day to enjoy family and fishing and at the same time raise money for the American Cancer Society. Since it’s inception, all items, whether they be food, entertainment, or raffle items have been donated by great people and companies (See a list here. To date, we have raised $124,000 and all proceeds have been donated to the American Cancer Society.
