Life as it happens in AZ. Well, it's been a little while since a real update, so here I go with the mini, quick one - in list form (my favorite) of course. May and June were awful, but they're over. After four work trips in a little over five weeks to San Antonio, Indianapolis, Arlington, and Rapid City, South Dakota, I came home exhausted, sore, dazed, and isolated. The travel killed my energy and my back. I fell behind in work. And, I had to spend waaay. Mt Rushmore: June 2010. It was gorgeous; however...

Life as it happens in AZ. Just posted photos of the last look at the camp:. Sandy Pond: November 2009. You'll also find a small set of photos from my November trip to DC in the Travel collection. If it wasn't for rain and being inside museums all day, there would be more to look at. Washington, DC: November 2009. Also, there's photos from the first Suns home game. We got great seats for a great deal, but were both coming down with the flu. Still, a fun game. Suns vs. Golden State: 10.30.09. We dropped a ...

Life as it happens in AZ. First, an apology. Well, really an explanation. Actually, an excuse. Why haven't you heard from me in so long? I blame it on the Steelers—yes, the six time World Champion Steelers—and Harold's Cave Creek Corral. I pretty much spent most of the latter half of the football season with my Phoenix fans at Harold's, holding my breath for a "W" and, eventually, screaming my head off during the Super Bowl. For the Chihuly: Nature of Glass exhibit. See my photos on Flickr. The following...

Life as it happens in AZ. What a long, strange, painful trip it's been. As some of you may or may not know, I am two months away from back surgery. Every time I mention this, it seems that less people than I thought really know what’s going on—so, I thought I’d put everything into a blog. And, he found a small fracture. After a few more adjustments, a total of five weeks of treatment, and my pain increasing rather than decreasing, the chiro admitted he couldn’t help me anymore. In athletes, this type of ...

Life as it happens in AZ. Well folks, it's time for another lengthy update from an otherwise sporadic blogger these days. Party), so I could see lots of people at once, and our traditional Bunny Brunch, where my favorite people came, ate and conquered the mimosa. We also hosted an NFL draft party that brought together fans of the Steelers. May was a smattering of travel, houseguests. So that was an eye-opener (if you read my pre. Blogs, I did a pretty good job of predicting how life would be). All I ...

Life as it happens in AZ. On the Other Side. The last time I wrote, I was at the end of a very long journey. Now, here I am, on the other side. I thought it was time—FINALLY—for a whole bunch of positive, encouraging, affirming, awesome, warm and fuzzy, optimistic updates and news…it’s been too long! As most of you know, I had surgery on November 30, 2010. I had a 360 degree global lower lumbar fusion – say that three times! And so, we were engaged on January 30, at the DBG, on the Plants and People Trail.

Life as it happens in AZ. The most wonderful time of the year.NOT! I don't often post things written by other people in my own blog, but I really couldn't do a better job of explaining what it's like in the summer in Phoenix. Just moved to Arizona! Now this is a state that knows how to live. Beautiful sunny days and warm balmy evenings. It is beautiful. I’ve finally found my home. I love it here. The temperature hasn’t been below 105 all week. How do people get used to this kind of heat? I missed Fluffy ...
