I know some people have a problem with using the word ‘sucks’ to describe something. For those of you who feel this way, I apologize. However, this is the best and nicest way to accurately describe how I and so many others feel about this disease. Personally I believe the first word is a lot worse that the second. The whole concept of www.CANCERSUCKS.us.

I want to encourage anyone who is debating whether or not to have something checked, please, talk to a doctor. I debated for a couple of weeks before going to see my doctor. I thank God every day that I went. Early detection can make such a difference in the outcome. And I will definitely get back to you.

Thursday, May 8, 2008. How it all began. Was 38 years old when she was first diagnosed with Stage II invasive ductal. Carcinoma (breast cancer), in December of 2003. At the time, she had just finished weaning her youngest son from nursing. During a post natal visit with her OB/ GYN. Her doctor found a lump in her right breast. A mammogram and U/S showed. Carcinoma was confirmed. Margins were not clear. The cancer was estrogen/ progesterone. Of '05, testing revealed she was not a carrier of the BRCA.
