March 27, 2015. That time I fell in love with San Francisco. Clara and I escaped the January snow and spent a few days staying with Kristin and M in Menlo Park (right near Stanford/Palo Alto) and LOVED our time there. They were wonderful hosts (tiny crowded apartment and all- we are used to such things! I would live in the Bay area in a heartbeat if it wasn't so unreasonably expensive. Anyway, we spent a lot of time soaking up the sun and exploring downtown one day. Ah, that sun! August 15, 2006.

November 4, 2013. My mom offered to make Clara's halloween costume and dug through her old patterns until she found this one. 20 years ago she made it for my sisters. And now for Clara. The balloons were my touch (she's obsessed with balloons and loved it. And was crazy about her plastic "punkie". These were taken at our ward halloween party. With her friend Avery. Even though she was once again sick we took her trick or treating for a few minutes. She started saying "tick tweet" after a few houses).

March 28, 2015. Photos from the rest of this Winter, including a trip to VA. These two and their popcorn :). She started dance class at the gym and ballet/tap in our neighbor's basement studio. Sunny days at the park in between all the snow. She suddenly loves unloading the dishes. Cried through her first dance performance. Birthday lunch @ Snooze. They bake my birthday cake. Found them like this when I came out of the dressing room. She takes her in-flight safety very seriously. Day at the museum, DC.

August 12, 2013. I should have titled this post "the weeks I wore the same shirt every day" (or at least every time I was caught on camera). I promise I washed it a few times in between :). July 30, 2013. Chicago friends, isn't this huge, empty. Finally we made it. And Dustin showed up with the wrong car, which meant no car seat. So parents of the year that we are, Dustin drove us home (thanks to Chicago traffic, we weren't going more than 20 mph the whole way) while I sat in back and held a feverish spasming sort-of-sleeping baby in my arms. April 29, 2013. Saturday we found out that the place we were super excited about moving into a month from now. Just sold. and the new owners plan on gutting and renovating it over the next year. So they've cancelled our lease and we have 4 weeks to find a new place before we're homeless. Here we go again. On a happier note:. It was gorgeous this weekend. February 16, 2015. I've been updating my recipe blog like crazy, so it's about time I caught up here. Let's begin with the worst part of parenting EVER! Tied with sleep training. At least unlike sleep training I only had to do it once. So maybe it's the second worst.). We threw a potty party to motivate her (decorations and books and movies, etc.) and taught dolly how to use the potty and bribed her and after about 10 accidents the first day and only a few the second, she was mostly trained! Oh, Clara :) .

October 25, 2013. I've been focusing on my recipe blog (it's getting a makeover very soon! And been neglecting this one. But we're still here in Chicago with nothing too exciting to share lately. December 9, 2013. Thanksgiving and a Wedding. Photos from before and during and after our Thanksgiving. Our week in Utah included Thanksgiving and Katelyn's Wedding, with most of these photos being of the wedding. I'm sad that we didn't take more pictures with all of the friends and family we visited. After the wedding we were exhausted from photo-taking and didn't do justice to the rest of the trip. November 23, 2013. This was my favorite moment. In Alpine for Thanksgiving. On our way home.
