The diagnostic essay in the beginning of the class may show that we really need to work on sentence-level clarity, grammar, etc early on. I kind of imagined this being the case for this brainstorm. Unit 1 - Narrative essay. Tense, verbs, (command of them, understanding of how tense works, when to change, etc).
