rogue quilter: I couldn't help myself.
http://roguequilter.blogspot.com/2015/07/i-couldnt-help-myself.html
Mini Quilt Block Ornies. Lamb for all Seasons. Sunday, July 12, 2015. I couldn't help myself. Even though the holiday has passed here in the old U.S. of A., I had to finish up more of my R/W/B projects. The tumblers were begging to be assembled, so I complied. Just a simple stipple pattern, which I find so relaxing to quilt. I did end up making one giraffe in there, with a long, straight neck. Can you spot it? Then I bound it and placed it in its home for the summer. Miss Stacy's free pattern. Every bit ...

a good yarn: eastwood
http://cottonreelcapers.blogspot.com/2015/05/eastwood.html
Sunday, May 3, 2015. I really liked this Orange Peel quilt. Yes, I could have been sewing today but I wasn't. Instead I went to the 2015 Eastwood Quilters Show at the heritage listed Brush Farm House. There's nothing like rooms full of bright coloured quilts to chase away the gloom of a grey, rainy day. Apologies in advance - my photos are rubbish. partly because the lighting wasn't too good and partly because I don't know how to operate the camera on the iPhone all that well. With her quilt Meg's Garden.

https://kaholly.blogspot.com/2015/08/really-finish.html
Sunday, August 9, 2015. I have so few finishes,. I'm excited to be able to share one! This was actually a July finish,. But the weather prohibited me from taking photos out of doors. This was a kit, but my daughter added the aqua to the mix. I love going fabric shopping with her. I straight line quilted it according to the direction of the rectangles. Let's talk labels. I think there are still some of you out there. That don't take the time to label your quilts. After all the hard work,. Like this one,.

Friday, July 31, 2015. Don't Break the Chain. How can that be? We're still waiting for summer up here! I have been piecing quilts for over 30 years,. And it still amazes me. That there is something new to learn every day. I already knew that the drawn line is actually my fold line,. And my stitches must just kiss the line. But I did not know that my unit would be more square. If I pressed it open BEFORE I cut the excess. It has made a huge difference in my blocks,. Quilt so much,. It's almost a flimsie!

https://kaholly.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 11, 2015. My migration from Nova Scotia to TX. Was successful and relatively uneventful,. But it has taken some time for my mojo to return. While en route, I joined my little sister and brother-in-law. In the search for a rare bird spotted in Maine. 328 on my life list. Meet the Townsend's Solitair. A member of the thrush family, and. The only solitaire native to America north of Mexico. As you can see from this map,. He was a long, long way from home! I think this snowy, cold environment.
