Fishing Port A: Momentum
http://firstporta.blogspot.com/2008/03/momentum.html
Thoughts of fishing for the unsaved by Pastor William. Monday, March 31, 2008. In church terms, momentum is soooo huge! What is momentum in churches - I haven't defined it, yet it really exists. It, obviously, begins with the movement of the Holy Spirit. God will move and see if a church will respond. Some churches see God move and they react in fear. Others will see the same thing and (while praying for more of that movement) will say, "What do we need to do to keep it happening? Favorite Blogs and Links.

Fishing Port A: Style vs Substance
http://firstporta.blogspot.com/2008/04/style-vs-substance.html
Thoughts of fishing for the unsaved by Pastor William. Saturday, April 19, 2008. A pastor/preacher, though, must first know his audience.or at least his target audience. Who is going to be in the service, is it primarily (or entirely) believers, will there be several "seekers" (those who do not know Christ), and lastly - who is the message for (believers, seekers, both, etc.). These questions must be answered before the style of preaching and the substance is determined. Hey boss. I just want to be a...

Fishing Port A: Upset Special
http://firstporta.blogspot.com/2008/02/upset-special.html
Thoughts of fishing for the unsaved by Pastor William. Monday, February 4, 2008. Did you see it? Can you believe it? The New York Giants upset the heavily favored an perfection minded New England Patriots. This was the equivalent of a huge tsunami wave hitting the NFL. Perfection wasn't attained. I believe that we can grow in our thoughts and actions.we can take captive everythought, we can seek God about doing the next right thing, and we can listen to the Holy Spirit guide us to do the right thing.

Thoughts of fishing for the unsaved by Pastor William. Monday, January 28, 2008. I have finally returned to Monday for this blog.) Yesterday was a great day @ FBC Port A. The music was great and the Holy Spirit was real and evident. It is so awesome to see and hear believers singing praises to our awesome God, no matter if it is our children, teens, parents, or our winter Texans. Our DNA would be permanately changed. Fishing Port A: November 2007
http://firstporta.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
Thoughts of fishing for the unsaved by Pastor William. Monday, November 26, 2007. Well here we are in the "Christmas Shopping Season". Here are a few thoughts to start the week. 1) I have really enjoyed our Anchor Group Series: New Identity. 2) I am challenging our church to pray and build a relationship with 1 person so they can see the difference that Jesus makes in our life. 5) Since living in Port A, I have become a winter weenie - I don't like the cold and I am glad to see the sun! Fishing Port A: 2 Great "F" Words
http://firstporta.blogspot.com/2008/03/2-great-f-words.html
Thoughts of fishing for the unsaved by Pastor William. Thursday, March 13, 2008. 2 Great "F" Words. Have you ever had someone say they love and/or accept you just as you are, but then you later find out that they really didn’t? Not only that, but that person held a grudge against you for something you’ve done. From that point on you probably felt anything but free. You felt like that you could not be yourself as long as that person continued to hold this against you. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
